Well, the big 17th announcement was sure anti-climatic! I guess no news is better than BAD news, eh? Anyone wonder why no appointed Plant Managers at Cleveland, Orlando, Memphis? Kinda scares me a bit!

If your facility has not replaced there supervisors, that is the writing on the wall. Another sign is if a supervisor is still staying in a hotel... Without their family. Cleveland is done for, memphis, orlando, san fran, are all shuttin down. Than the changes at the nationals will be announced, this week we'll see

Honestly... It is part speculation part fact. I was told by a very reliable person to be prepared for the announcements this week (good ol' chrysler time, that must mean two weeks, should have known better!). Some PDC's of the mentioned (Memphis,Orlando, SF) I'm am sure of. The others are based on 1) Logistics 2) Management movement or lack there of 3) Information that was disclosed on a need to know basis w/ me 4) Some other data collection facts. I agree with the sick to the stomache feeling. Especially if you are at what of the "rumored" facilities named.

Aother issue is the way Mopar currently does business. I.E. Supplier to National, National to Field, Field to Dealer. That supply chain was "invented" in the 60's and is not very efficient. That is going to change to a more streamlined approach if possible. So it isn't just closing PDC's or Nationals, it is a complete overhaul too... One that for some reason they keep "top secret".

Tomorrow is Friday, so we will see. I wish I could say more but I do not want to get fired

Thanks MoPart! Very interesting! A complete overhaul that kept us in business would be welcome as long as it works and we don't end up with no bodies!

We'll see about Friday...maybe the next or the next or the next :0)

I will keep you posted! This much can be said... Overhaul has much to do w/ Homebase storage and who will store what, their will be some shuffling around. There will definitely be fewer heads at mopar. But the alternative is far worse.

Good luck and I will share as much as I can as I hear more...

Anyone else is welcome to post what they have heard, not just crazy rumors though. Things that logically could happen or heard from high level mgmnt/union

15 % of Mopar's suppliers still have not signed an agreement w/ Chrysler post-bankruptcy. This is not the kind of PR we need right now :(

Yup must be coming next week! Seriously though, be nice to hear soon, even if it's not good news. I hate the waiting... Should be used to it. The internatl union rep for mopar is frickin clueless or a good actor.

I will never again buy a chrysler made product. I will buy a ford or gm product. Let the mexicans & canadians buy chrysler, thats where the vehicles are made at. Maybe the politicans will start buying them now also, politicans love buying foreign made vehicles. Chrysler Sucks !
