when the next contract gets rid of seniority = problem solved = no seniority fo U = tier 2 will vote this in
There are no tier 2's on the bargaining committee. So it will never be proposed during the contract negotiations. Tier 2's didn't all start on the same day. So they see the importance of seniority. Tier 2's are getting rolled over every week. So they know going forward during the next decades that senority will play a huge role in their ability to get a job over another tier 2 who has a week or day less than them. The UAW will see some fundamental changes going forwards, no doubt. But getting rid of seniority wont be one. The company doesn't care, it doesn't cost them money to have seniority, so, they won't push for it. So it will never be apart of bargaining.
