Yes there is alot that has to be taken apart but that will save you 800 bucks. The part you can get at napa for 150 bucks and it comes with o-rings. Just get the valve which it hooks up to andsome a/c oil. If you want i can send you some pictures to show you what it looks like doing this job. And if you decide to do it i could give you some advice on hidden screws and such.
We have a 2002 Chrysler Town and Country LXi. While the AC was on I was getting leaks of a bright green liquid (oil+leak detector?)near where the evaporator tube goes into the firewall-- next to the cabin air filter. If it's the O-rings, would I be able to replace them from the engine side of the firewall or would this require extracting the evaporator core? Do you have step-by-step instructions for this job. Anything you could send would be appreciated.

We have a 2008 T&C, it blows hot air & last summer we brought it in & had it recharged. After about 3 days, it was blowing hot again. Our heat works fine. Could we possibly have the same issues as the others? Any help/info/pics/instructions would be great! Thanks! [email protected]

Please forward the instructions and pictures I have a 2002 Chrysler T&C. How long from start to finish? Do you recommend replacing any other parts while the dash is removed? Seems Chrysler could improve the quality of the evap core.

Can you send me what ever info you have on the Evaporator Core? I have a 99 T&C 3.8 and believe I just found mine has sprung a leak. Will get a UV light to make sure but today I heard a noise from it sounding like pressure equaling out but shortly after I found the line pressure was gone. Was not looking forward to having to deal with this. I believe this is going to turn out to be a days work.
