Door Locks/open stopped working about a month ago...I have to unlock and open doors manually.(Rear door still opens with remote, inside panel button) Found a couple sites on-line with tons of listings of others having the same problem. Recommendation was to pull out the fuse that controls the door locks and then put it back in. Have done it a number of times now. Temporary fix only. Stops working again.
Has anyone had this issue, heard of a recall, or know of a permanent fix?
Thanks!

Cate, I have had the exact same problem on my 2005. Have you had any responses to date?

Pull the IOD fuse, wait for a minute, then put it back in. This should fix the locks -- for a while anyways. Eventually, it will only last for a few locks/unlocks before it stops working again.

Problem: doorlocks on key and door console stopped working .
tempary fix remove and reinsert the 20amp iod fuse
this only works for a short time because the power neededto operate the door locks is greater then 0 amps.
Long term fix replaice the iod fuse with a 25 amp fuse note:(this is not recomended by dealers) don't worry to much your wires are rated for it.
you might think of it like this if you run an air conditioner in the same room you run a micowave you might trip a breaker because the poll is to great- over the years the build up inside the locks can add up making the need for more power for continued opperation.
i have used the 25 amp fuse or 2 months with no probems.

Has anyone had trouble with their driver side or other window not working?
The problem seemed to start with the driver's side passenger door. Had it diagnosed, they said it needs new slider harness. Strange thing is that the door works when the weather is cold. When the weather warms at all the door starts to open, but stops. Waited to replace. Door locks stopped working. Found rec. on-line to pull the fuse. Works for awhile, and then will unexpectedly stop working. Recently, my driver's door window stopped working. Is this all related? I have seen suggestions of updating code in the car's control system. Help?

Mine stopped working yesterday. Where is the blasted fuse??????? It is not in the box next to the battery, and I do NOT have an interior fuse box that I can find. There is nothing near the steering wheel. HELP PLEASE!

My door locks quit working yesterday. Have been trying to locate the stupid fuse. It is not in the box under the hood, and I do not have an interior panel under the dash to open. I read the owner's manual and it said that if after changing the fuse (if you can find it), the problem continues, it is NOT the fuse. There is another electrical problem. Could be as simple as a loose wire, or something worse.

If u have the same make and model the fuse should be in the box next to your battery. Looking at the fuse box from the front of my car...the fuse is on the right side...closest one to the front edge of the fuse box. R20 or something like that. So....Turn off car. Pull fuse. Wait several minutes. Replace fuse.
Sometimes I can go months without having to pull it again. Good luck.

The door lock actuator is most likely bad. I don't have power sliding doors on my 05, but I replaced the actuator 3 times now, buy the part at autozone cor $60, and they will replace it every time you need to. That's the rub, you will most likely need to again within a year. There should be a recall, because i cant manually lock or unlock mine when it goes. Seems to always go in a locked position. Should someone be in that seat and need to exit in an emergency, say, if the cars on fire, they will most likely burn to death. Comforting knowing that no one cares. Good luck.

My 2003 town and country locks work but they made a really loud noise each time like the motor is bad. Can that happen? How can I order part cause O'Reileys said it was dealer authorized only and they can't order it. Help!!

I have pulled the iod fuse several times. But it only solves the problem for the driver and passenger door locks. I still cannot get the sliders to unlock unless it's done manually. Anyone else have this issue???

I have the same year vehicle with the same problem. Were you able to find a solution (or can anyone offer one)?

Add me to growing list, my 2005 Town and Country has 210,000 miles on it, the driver side window only works periodically (on-going problem for years but it continuously got worse, so now I just never let it down). Now my locks on the front driver and passenger will not work with the remote. I haven't tried the fuse yet but I will. Can't complain too much, I've only had these little minor issues, nothing major.
