I changed the battery in my 2001 T&C and now the radio doesn't work. All I get is blinking lights on the equalizer. Is this some sort of security issue or something? Any ideas?

I have a similar problem on my 2001 T&C. The problem also occurred after the battery was changed although I don't recall whether it started immediately after the change. The blinking lights on the equalizer prevents the radio, CD player, and cassette player from working. After an extended period of time the blinking stops and the radio, CD player, etc work perfectly until the engine is turned off. When I start up again, I repeat the blink problem for another random/extended period of time. Hope someone out there has seen this before and has answers.

Did you figure out how to resolve this problem. I've got the same situation with my '01 T & C. Battery died. Radio didn't work after change.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem? All I see here is people with questions and no answers. Can someone fix the blinking flashing lights on the equalizer to get my radio running again?

I have the same problem in my 01 T&C. I have been driving without a radio for over a year now. I came home from a week vacation and the battery was dead. Jumped the car and the radio hasn't worked since.

I have a 2001 Town and Country LXI. The radio, CD player and clock went dead after starting the van and seeing the clock showing 12:00. The three equalizer light flashed in sync and even when the vehicle was turned off and the key removed. There had been no recent battery, radio, CD issues. The day after this happened I disconnected the negative terminal on the battery for a few minutes and then reconnected it. Everything started working immediately and is still working one day later. Go figure!!

Same flashing light problem. This about a year after $800 bill for vehicle exorcism. The van's wipers and headlights would come on by themselves, when the key wasn't even in the ignition. So far, I am seeing only expensive visits to the dealer or radio replacement as options from other sites.

I have a 2004 Pt cruiser with a factory Mopar radio and 6-cd player. I disconnected the car battery for about 2 hours and replaced it with a new battery. Following that the Mopar radio doesn't show the Cd-player as a selectable option.

I found this statement in a ebay listing for a sound shop selling used Mopar cd players like mine ...

This model radio may need to be programmed at the dealer for it work properly. The dealership will actually program the radio to the vehicle so they can communicate together. The estimated cost to program one of the radio to your vehicles is $45.00 but check with your local dealer for a quote. We do NOT accept returns on radios for this PURPOSE so be sure to research before buying.

----------

The ebay lister has not replied to my multiple requests for a dealership that knows this issue, they haven't responded at all. Can't get through on their phone line either.

I called a Chrysler dealership and a service rep told me he didn't know of this issue. Told me their STAR Computer diagnostic system could likely diagnose the problem and provide them the procedure for the fix. So I now believe this will cost $100+ for them to end up entering some new codes at the radio? What a rip!

I had the same problem after I changed the battery. I finally went back and took the terminals off and cleaned them REALLY good. Works again!
