I'm being as honest as i can be. If i had known about the history of chrysler and dodge vehicles. I would not have waisted my time or money on one. I have a cruiser also. The appearance of the car does not match up with the quality or performance. Everyone I know that owns one where i live are experiencing problems(electrical, engine, war ning lights malfunctioning, and battery problems). If i were you, I would not waste my money. As for me, I'll stick with my Nissans, Toyotas, and BMWs. I have a 1999 nissan maxima and have only had my car repaired twice in 8 years and that was minor. This cruiser 8 times within may of 2007.

My grandmother gave me her 2002 PT Cruiser with only 15k on it(it has 58k now).I have had to replace the battery, brakes,I have had quite a few engine lights that eventually went away, now my driver's side brake light won't come on,i've tried everything. But most of all the gas mileage is horrible,my belief is that the car is grossly underpowered and the engine is working really hard to push it along,I own a 2000 Chevrolet Corvette and it gets much better gas mileage than my cruiser.I use my cruiser to haul my kids around when I have them. All in all, I have had minimal problems with it(so far),I like the way it rides and handles and it is a comfortable car.I just hope that the car doesn't "turn" on me like other people, and I hope that these problems I've had isn't the start of the "turn". I would not go out and buy one with my own money,I am a die hard chevy fan anyway.
