I have had to replace two of these mounts now. about $200 each time. We have 147K on the vehicle.

This is a bit of a shock as I've owned several vehicles over time but this is the first that has had to have motor mounts replaced.

cheap ass stuff...Chrysler needs to come clean on this.

my 04 pacifica just turned over 37000, and of course all the problems still exist and ugly new ones keep appearing. Has anyone had any issueswith the rear motor mounts (rubber bushing's) breaking or failing. Also many problems with the electrical system and horn. The latest is a problem with the front right wheel rod arm, is loose and no indications of hitting anything.
My 05 pacific had the top motor mount replaced once and the bottomhas been replaced 3times all in under 1 year.

I own a 2007 Pacifica FWD model. Recently the front right bracket that holds the upper part of the wheel assembly known as the "knuckle" failed. While traveling 45 mph the front tire folded under the vehicle causing extensive damage. From what I can see the part is made from a cast aluminum type material. Has anybody encountered a similar problem or ever hear of this happening before. Waiting for the insurance investigator but it looks like the car may be totaled.

I have had my 07'4.0 front wheel drive touring pacifica for approximately 3 years and have not had any problems with it so far. I am a native New Yorker and have nothing but praises for the vehicle. However, after reading these comments, I will definitely have the vehicle checked on a regular basis, especially the motor mounts. Good luck to all and I can be reached at the following email address, golf-one@peoplepc.com

Yep, Our 2004 Pacifica with 95,000 miles had a LOT of clunky front end noise - the dealer was no help and gave no indication of the notorious problems that can plague Pacifica's. One day, the vehicle finally would not start. The failed engine mounts allowed movement of the engine, this movement caused damage to the ground wire in the electrical harness. I have replaced the following: All engine mounts including dog-bone (purchased from www.partstrain.com ), installed a new ground wire, replaced both front struts, and the two bushing on the sway bar. The car drives like new again with no front end noise (for the first time since I can remember). Oddly, the replacement of rubber bushings is what eliminated most of the front end noise. I plan to drive it another 50K and then bail. We have been lucky, besides brakes and tires this has been the only expense we have had. Our Pacifica is fully loaded and it is a sweet ride. I will be keeping my fingers crossed though....good luck!

When replacing Pacifica mounts, it is best to replace all. If one has failed the others are likely compensating and have been damaged.

Same thing happened to me. My 2004 has 3 broken mounts and my right strut broke thru and dented my hood. the car sounds like its fallen apart.I'm going to STS to fix this along with emg mounts ,torque strut, stab. bushings for a total of 1600. I hope its a fair price?

I have a 2004 Pacifica and started to hear a noise coming from the engine, took it to my mechanic, and now i need to replace all three motor mounts. It will cost me several hundred dollars and after reading about this being a familiar issue with the Pacifica. Ouch! I just do not want to be dealing with this issue often. Is there any update on a recall?

I have a 2004 Pacifica and just found out by my mechanic that all the motor mounts are cracked. I need to pay several hundred dollars for the repair and to find out that this is a common issue with this car really stinks. I do not want to be repairing the motor mounts every 6 months. Is there any news on a recall from Chrysler?

Yes. I have 2004 Pacifica with 89 k mi and recently the rear passenger side compression arm of the suspension just snapped for no reason. Fortunately I was driving in the city and only 25-30 mph. The part is made of cast Aluminum and just snapped! Amazing and scary ! Would also like to know of other Pacifica owners had the same/similar problem.

i have a loud ticking sound from the engine. I just paid $500 to replace front and rear motor mounts. Drove home and ticking is still there. Auto shop says its the tie rods. what the hell. arent tie rods on the tires. this noise is coming from the engine.

90,000 miles on my 2005 Pacifica. It's been having a clicking noise and we thought it was the tie rod bushings again. However, noticed something like motor oil in the driveway. It's the fluid from the rear motor mount with is located just to the rear of the tire in the center. I guess I'll have to pony up the $$$$ and replace all of them.

I am replacing another set of motor mounts on my 04 Pacifica only after 15,700 miles in a 2 year time. Does this sound right? Is it my vehicle or an auto scam to a single mother of two?

This is absolutely disgusting from chrysler....replace my engine mounts in december 2010 and again in july 2011 and now am going to replace them tomorrow! I am so confused and the funny thing is I have been going to two different dealers to see maybe if one was worse then the other...btw, both axles came off and pierced the hood two times! What's going on with my car? Is the engine mount causing all these problems or maybe the cradle?

Thanks all!

We just had all the motor mounts and trans mounts replaced two weeks ago under our extended warranty. Today the trans mount seems to have broken again!

I have an 04 Chrysler pacifica, I've had it for 2 years. First year was Awsome! Had regular oil changes took care of it very well but a little over a year started having motor mount problem. Replaced twice! Blower for ac/heater won't turn off... Replaced it and it went out again after 2 weeks... Now my car is dead! Won't turn on. Replaced battery and starter and still nothing. I hate this car now! Tooooo many problems and tooooo much money out of my pocket! Trading it in as soon as we get it started up again! NO MORE CHRYSLER!!! Stick with HONDA & TOYOTA

I own a 2004 Pacifica, and at this point I am really ready to push it in the river... I have changed my motor mounts twice and about to change them again. The thing is, the vehicle only has 104k miles on it. Not only that, the tie rods go pretty quickly and the strut mounts are garbage. Oh yeah and the electrical is iffy as well.
