my 04 pacifica just turned over 37000, and of course all the problems still exist and ugly new ones keep appearing. Has anyone had any issueswith the rear motor mounts (rubber bushing's) breaking or failing. Also many problems with the electrical system and horn. The latest is a problem with the front right wheel rod arm, is loose and no indications of hitting anything.

I took my 05 Pacifca, 31k, in for what I thought was an oil leak. They said it was the rear central motor bushing leaking AND probably caused by 'road damage', a rock or something, so it wasn't covered under warranty. I'm going to send a claim in for arbitration. Stay tuned!

I own two chrysler pacifica's------rear engine mounts are prone to failure, mostly due to torque load under heavy acceleration---could happen at any mileage therefore---we have replaced mounts on both our vehicles .

I have an 04 Pacifica and I just replaced the rear motor mount. I'm a little worried that if this is already breaking what else is in store on these Pacifica's. Should have stuck with a Nissan, I have a 97 Altima with over a 150,000 and other than the norm of brakes, and batteries, I've done nothing to it.

I have a 2007 FWD basic model Pacifica. I understand that it has liquid filled motor mounts.
When I start the engine, it makes a bump noise, is this normal? The salesman told me it is because when the engine is started, it vibrates.
Thank you,
Lorraine

Again, I noticed today similar problem. I was told that there are 2 types of mounts (solid rubber and liquid filled). If you choose solid ones you need to replace all three mounts. Liquid ones are more expensive but filter better engine's vibrations.
Could anyone tell me where to find rear engine mount. I live in Europe and thsi model is not imported normally

The way we used to check for broken motor mounts was to put the car in drive, step on the brake, now give it some gas while watching the engine, if the engine moves upward like 2 inches, the mount is bad

Hi Folks: I am intrested in buying a Pacifica, they are much more confortable then a mini van...Trouble is we want side curtain air bags but they are only standard on the 2007 models which are out of our price range, so I am thinking about a 2005/2006...Would anyone share their experiences with the 2005/6 models with me?
Thanks

I got a 07 [pacifica, I perfer the 3.8 engine in the base model, the base stickers for around 25 but with the rebates etc you could probably get one for around 21.5K. No problems yet but plan on buying the extended warranty. The base has a towing capacity of 3500 lbs. The minivan only can tow 1800 lbs except if you get an upgraded towing package than it can tow 3500 too.

If your intested I could probably get you a friends and family discount. Let me know, my email is [email protected] The 07 base comes with standard side curtain air bags, knee bolster bags too.

Is the replacement of these mounts expensive? I am appalled at how many issues these Pacificas seem to have and they are all of a common thread. This is very worrisome to me.

Well I too have had to replace both the motor and transmission mounts.(the dealer did the trans. mount but the motor one was also bad, for another 200.00 he would have fixed the original problem!) Make sure you consider getting them both done when one is found bad...the dealers are loving the cash when you go back$$$ I did mine and it wansn't real bad but you have to have patients and the ability to lift the engine off the mounts. Start slowly!!! no rough roads this is a real weak spot!!!!! I have 58k

We bought the Pacifica after we rented it for a vacation trip. Love the styling, but ohhhhh, the problems. Just got off the phone with the news that we have to pay $509 to get the motor mounts replaced AND it is not covered under our extended warranty! This is only one of the many problems that we have had (and after reading this forum) are sure to come.

I just got back from the dealer where I took in my '04 Pacifica for a popping/cracking noise when you turn the wheel at low speeds (kind of sounds like the bottom of the car might fall off). They say it is the front motor mount (that is after it was there for 2 days earlier in the week and they tightened the front axel bolts saying that would fix it). Any ideas on this, especially since the motor mount is not covered in the warranty?

how much did it cost to have the motor mounts replaced? did you have it done at the dealer?

We have a 2004 Pacifica also the ground cable broke between the engine and the frame. Ooh the problems, the control on the trans blew, the main computer went out, and the motor mounts are bad. After reading this should be looked at by Chrysler. Watch out for the cable. I think was caused by bad mounts letting the engine move and in turn broke the ground cable. This car was purchased in Feb 07 and just went over 81,000 miles. Well the final bill was over 2800 out of pocket and the extended warranty did not cover anything.

I can't believe my '04 Pacifica's air bag light came on the other day & I brought it to the dealership to hear it's not safe to drive cause my engine is just sitting there with 3 broken bushing, 2 broken arms & broken motor mount. I drove there w/ my 9mon old & 2 yr old I can't believe my beautiful car is racking up $1500 not cover by the extended warentee I've been paying for every since I paid the car off last year. The air bag computer thinks we were in an accident I guess & that the air bags are deployed & if there was an accident they wouldn't go off. So once it's all fixed will it be good to go for another $100k miles? We're at 54k now.
