Whats wrong with these vehicles,They are not selling worth a f--k.Chrysler current line up is shit, theres better suvs out there.Chrysler is going to slash a few more modles to make it.Get rid of the compass, patriot, commander, & any other modle selling under 2,000 a month ,maybe then you can get on top of your production & figure what your true demand is.

I see that you are an expert in corporate marketing as well. You seem to have so much knowledge for a factory rat. Where did you study?

What's wrong with the Commander, pretty much everything! I work at JNAP, so I get to see how they are built. I also bought a Commander, only because I work there. It's just another example of the crap we ended up with because of Daimler. I can't believe we are still in business.

It was a good idea, with very bad timing.

The problem is the same with every other Mopar, slow response to market changes. Why does it take so long to bring diesel vehicles to market?

Maybe because Chrysler doesn't actually make a diesel engine. They have to outsource any diesel that is put in their products. This is expensive.

I do like my Commander for sure, but I HATE how much I have to pay for gas. Plus every time I hit a big bump it sounds kind of hollow underneath and rattles just a bit like something is loose. My Grand Jeep was soo much smoother on the bumps. I've had it looked at and fixed once, and I guess I better head back in there for another look. But I do like it very much.

I had talked to the engineers at JNAP about some of the issues with the Commander. They were told they have to save money, so they cheapened it up. So what you are writing about comes as no surprise.
I also own one, everytime it rains I end up with about a quart of water on the floor. I have taken it back more than once for this and other issues,

My brother just leased 2 rocky mountain additions. I like them they are very stylish and they handle the Michigan weather. He was so happy to turn is his Cherokee. He had that POS in the shop 5-6 times for the transmission. I also know of a few others that had the same problem. I like the commander. Feel free to dump the Patriot and the compass.

Thats probably because some employee was'nt doing their job inserting them black rubber plugs into the firewall. They have some holes in the firewall that are not used so they are suppose to be plugged. That is why your getting water on the floor. My friend's wife just bought a Sebring and had the same problem. I went down to that dept and grabbed a few plugs and the dealer installed them for her. No more leaks.

dump the patriot and compass they are very boring cars no point to them. But the commander is a BEAST i have all three trims, the sport (my favorite) the limited (4.7 V8) and the overland (hemi)they are all great cars and very safe. i love the room and cardgo space they have and niether of the 3 are slow. im 17 and my dad just got me the sport commander its great holds all my friends with ease and very smooth ride. Before i had the commander i had a 2001 jeep wrangler and it sucked!!! the commander is much more practical and all around a great car/suv

It should run until July 2009, but it might be shut down a few months early due to the new "Wk" line. Thats if we really get the new "WK".
