Two Men and a Truck just may lose the deal if ratified.

You are just jealous!that you can't make that kind of money |
I say more power to GM's Workers! they deserve what they can get.
Yes, I'm jealous because I don't have one of those non thought provoking jobs that a monkey could do. |

Good for General motors for finally helping to rectify a situation that was effecting everyone, even if you didn't work for Gm.
And I've met more of them that have more pride and loyalty in what they create than many of the college educated I've known. |
that is funny I grew up with one, They had pride alright, They were proud of how much they made and were not afraid to tell people how little they had to do for it. |

Yeah, yeah, yeah..statement getting real old. |
Loyalty?? Create??? Last fall when 36th was on strike for awhile I noticed that when they are striking the parking lot is full of other brand cars. When times are good for them it's full of GM's. They already own vehicles from the competition, they just keep them hid until they "have to get them out" My neighbor works for GM and the only GM product he owns is the one he drives to work--You guys are only loyal at times like this-but really-your "loyalty" is just a front |
I'd be loyal to a co that has coddled me for my entire career also. DO like the rest of us-you don't like your job, quit and go someplace else. But you can't. You all know you'd get your butts kicked in the merit shop type of work place.

I was speaking more to the job they do. Not so much as the brand name. And to the idea that because they are union makes them lazy entitlement robots that just collect a paycheck. Yes there are those. There are those in every field of life. Like Dave Ramsey says, anyone who sacrifices to become a doctor deserves to make as much money as they possibly can...because they sacrificed to become a doc. We all know we get the best out of those who go into any field of work for the money first, or the final reason. "You guys are only loyal at times like this-but really-your "loyalty" is just a front." There is no "You guys" here. I don't work for the auto industry in any form and I never have. "When times are good for them it's full of GM's." It's most interesting that you say that. When times are not so good most people do buy the lesser cost of what they need. They try to make their money stretch as far as possible. And usually only those who have to do. That is another discussion that has gone on here over and over again. And part of that is you will never see the compensation level between shop floor and executive suite in the foreign auto makers as you do in the U.S. makers. The foreign makers just don't believe in it. At least they didn't the last time I checked. Perhaps they have become "Americanized" by now. Whereas the U.S. makers believe it's an entitlement for where they are in the hierarchy. |

Oh stop crying..... |

It is time to make the union employees accountable for their actions like the rest of us. Also, take their seniority rights away for job and shift preferences and make them earn the good jobs. The days of entitlement must end for the manufacturers to survive. Maybe the slackers will actually try to do an honest days work for their paycheck. What a novel concept.

I've always bought American, not so at all with
my children & relatives. You gotta face it, the change has only begun, many Foreign brands are made here and have more US components than US brands. More non-union plants & growing....it is what it is....and most of you should know that. |

Skilled trades is why we are on strike, most do not wake up until punch-out time to go home. They just might have to work more than an hour or so every day, OMG, better take the buyout.
