I have a 2006 Honda Pilot and had to replace the battery. Now the XM button on my radio is unresponsive. I had to unlock the radio when we turned the car back on. All the other buttons on the radio seems to be working fine. When you press the XM button nothing happens. I do pay for the XM service so I really need this feature to work! Can anyone help?
Can anyone answer this before I have to take it to an audio store or get in there myself? I've tried replacing all the applicable fuses and nothing. What can I fix inside the radio itself?

Just a guess, but would you have to contact XM to have them re-activate something?

I have a 2003 Honda Pilot. Can anyone tell me why I have no low beam headlights? The halogen bulbs were replaced which didn't correct the problem.
Same thing, key would not turn, had to keep trying. Had it replaced with a new ignition almost $600.00 -ouch. Now am having the VTM4 / engine light problem on my 03 pilot -very odd that many of us have the same problems at about the same mileage.

I have had the same exact problem with my 2012 Touring Pilot. The dealership replaced it with a new vehicle and it is doing it as well. Honda corporate nor the dealership has had any solution. They replaced our injectors but it had a falty start right after. I believe that there is this same issue with ALL 2012 Pilots and Honda doesnt know how to fix it.

There are several problems mentioned in this thread. Which one are you referring to?

<quoted text> I have experienced that as well. My interior lights where left on for about 5 minutes and the car went completely dead. I know this should not be happening, battery is fine but there is something wrong, this has happened to many times now.
Have owned the 2004 Pilot since new. The orginal battery was crap. Had problems with starting repeatedly. The dealer said the battery was great. Took it to a battery guy, the indicator showed it was good but it was not. Replaced the battery...no more starting problems. It has been 6-7 years now.

Don't think you have a 110v outlet, it's a 12v outlet. Check the fuse panels.

2012 Honda Pilot- When cranking it does not start right away and the starter just grinds away. Any one else had this problem?
TRY THIS: we tried this and never had the problem since... When you start it, twist the key all the way (as you normally would) but instead of holding it, release it immediately. The new Pilots have fully computer controlled starters, so you holding it is unnecessary.

Yes, since I got my 2012 EX-L, I've had this issue. It now has 2300 miles on it and it is less frequent but still happens now and again. You should take yours to the dealer because Honda knows there is a problem and has a fix in the works set to be released late June. It's a software upgrade for the fuel mapping program to the fuel injectors.

I bought a new 2012 Pilot EX-L. I didn't even have it a week and brought it back for the same problem you are having. They replaced the starter relay and said that it is fixed. Apparently there is a problem with the Pilot and Oddessey with this new starting system they put in. There is supposed to be a computer software update coming out to fix the problem. Just picked it up today, so I wait and see if it happens again!
My 2012 Pilot Ex-L does the same thing. Honda has a software update for the fuel mapping program for the fuel injectors coming out in June sometime that is supposed to fix it. I do have to say though, I have about 2400 miles on mine and it is much better now about starting than it was when I first got it. Strange. Just hope it is completely fixed once the upgrade goes in.

Unfortunately, this is a tough problem to diagnose unless it happens while at the shop.
Mine did it too. Mine is a 2012 Pilot EX-L It's gotten better as I've had it longer but my dealership worked with Honda (I recorded it with my iPhone because it never did it for the shop). Honda is releasing a software update in June for the fuel mapping system to the fuel injectors that should solve the problem. so be sure to take it back to the dealer and have them contact honda. When I took mine in a few months ago, Honda did not have a service bulletin out about this so it took some investigation on the part of the dealer to find out that my car wasn't the only one doing it.

I have a 2007 Honda Pilot . Yesterday I read a message on the dash that said to check the gas cap. Did that. Now the red/orange engine icon is on. Are the two connected? I have a four hour drive later today and need to know if I should be concerned.

If you haven't already, find an auto parts store that will read the code that's causing your check engine light. If it's an "evap system" code, chances are your gas cap is either loose or defective. If you do wind up replacing the cap, buy one at a Honda dealer, not a "fitz-all" cap some auto parts places sell.

I have a 2003 Pilot.. Recently I have had to have the door actuators on the passenger side replaced. However, after that was done the beep that you hear when you press the remote door opener stopped working and me and my mechanic who is very good can't figure out why. Any ideas?
