D light flashing on '03 pilot means transmission problem. If you’re lucky it the issue related to 2nd gear not getting enough transmission fluid (fixed for free by Honda dealers). This just happened to me 2 days ago. The shifter being stuck in park is most likely related to the brake switch going bad (mine did this too with only 60K seems to be very shoddy construction), fixed this and good to go. You can verify this issue by pressing on the brake while the shifter is stuck in park and the car won't shift and having someone else check the brake lights. If they aren't on during this test then you've got a winner. The Timing belt whine issue could be related to the timing belt tensioner recall issue. You might get this issue fixed for free too. Last but not least is the airbag issue on '03 Pilots. This issue can cause your airbag to deploy at anytime. Definitely a winner! Have this checked by a dealer.

2004 pilot battery keeps dying. Have changed battery, alternator, grounding wire, yet if you leave the car overnight the battery dies. If you remove the negative terminal, it is okay in the morning. The dealerships states that nothing is showing as putting an extra draw on the battery- any ideas?
Obviously something is drawing down the battery. Hook up an ammeter in series with the battery cable and you will see a draw. A slight amount is normal, don't remember how much. You've got to have more than normal. Start pulling fuses one at a time till you find what's causing it. Find an independent shop, forget the dealer.

My 2004 Honda Pilot battery was dead (which has happened couple times in the last year), hooked up battery cables, alarm kept going off. Car would not start. Called Honda Tech. advised me to take key out of ignition, hook-up battery cables again, when alarm goes off hit the unlock button, then put key back in ignition and try to start car. At this point it did work. Not sure what causes the problem?

I have a 2005 Honda Pilot with just over 90,000 miles. When I tried to start the engine it turned over a couple times then lost all compression. I suspect the timing belt either broke or slipped. Anyone else experience this?

Assume jumping it means battery goes dead?
Original battery? Has it been load tested? Terminals clean and tight? Alternator tested? Belt tight? Ignition switch or starter?

I have a 2008 Honda Pilot VP and I have a question on the seats. It seems like they stain very easily and I can't find anything that cleans it without leaving a stain ring. Any Ideas?

I would try a good detail shop. Clean the seats completely, then buy some Scotchguard and treat them yourself.

I have a 2009 Honda Pilot that was purchased new. After turning over 6,000 miles the Power Steering Pump locked up while driving. Fortunately I didn't wreck.. The entire unit has to be replaced under warranty. Apparently it's an issue with the Pilot. Never had any problems with my Accord.

I have the same vehicle with about 5k miles and have been disturbed by the same condition. I have not been back to the dealer yet with this issue. Has there been any resolutions to this problem or is this "normal"?

I too have a 2006 pilot exl 4wd and the engine surge is normal with long shifts when the truck is cold. Honda does this to speed up the engine warming process

I have the same problem as person below with tail lights. Where are the fuses. Also, when signaling, dash lights flash along with turning signal light.

My Dash lights is okay. I was trying to find fuse for Tail lights and I dont see one for tail lights in the manual. So I checked all of them in the fuse box under the hood and all of them are fine. Not sure where I can find fuse for the tail lights.
Thanks for the input.

Can anyone tell me where the 4th gear sensor in on an 05 pilot? I have to change it due to the (D) light blinking...I got the part and want to replace it myself but dont know where it is located. also, do you think this is a fix I can do myself or should I take it to the shop?
Thanks

I have lost the low beams on my 2003 Pilot. The parking lights and highs work well. There does not seem to be a fuse for just low beams. Any suggestions? Light switch?
I had the same problem with my '03 Pilot and had it fixed at the dealer.$450.00 later we realized that the original lights were too strong for the vehicle and therefore burned the connector's contact next to the steering wheel.

Anyone experienced the same problems.
I have a 2005 Pilot with app 42,000 miles and it just started doing the EXACT same thing - propelled me into an intersection (no oncoming thank goodness) and almost into the back of my garage - What was your resolution (am hoping you are still in this forum, Susan, or that someone else has exp with this).
