After attempting to read 24 pages of blogs, I can see the Asian car makers are no different. They have their fair share of problems. Contrary to popular belief, buyers don't seem to be very satisfied with the poor quality of the Pilot. Looks like the friendly Honda repair shop is full and not doing much to remedy the situation. The honeymoon is over.
Is General Motors being sold to China? Wow...honeymoon in Chinahhhhhhhhh....!!!

I have on 06' Honda Pilot LX w/33K on it. For the most part, its been great. However, the air-conditioner hasn't been working. The blower works fine, the lights show the AC works. However, the air does not cool, at all.
refer on your owner's manual for proper temperature settings on air conditioning...have you replaced the air cabin filter? since LX has a manual settings, just refer on your owner's manual.

I have the same problem on my 2003 Pilot EX RES, after about 10 minutes of driving we hear a low humming or buzzing noise in the speakers and I'm sure that if you have the head phones on you would hear it there also. I've been looking for solutions also but haven't seen any either. I did see one thread on google on this web site topix but when I went to there I couldn't find anything. I've talked to Honda Service but they don't know what it is either. Hopefully someone will come up with an answer.
EMF...elecro magnetic field on high concentrations (ex. high tension wires). if the disturbance is continous on the sound, the sound system itself on the vehicle is the problem. if its not and only occurs while moving then its what i said from above causes it.

i have a '04 honda pilot with issues: when opening passenger door, no indication that lights are left on, key is in ignition, and interior lights do not come on. also, all doors will voluntarily lock without assistance especially on rainy days. anyone know a solution?
on interior lights, your knees maybe hitting the interior light control tab/button. on locks, since its not specified on full detail, using the remote when unlocking the vehicle, if any door is not opened w/in approx 30 seconds, it will automatically locked itself...security features.

check the fuse again...#9 fuse on under hood fuse box then #9 fuse on pass side fuse box and check on # 8 fuse @ driver side fuse box.

I have an 07 Pilot. It just started making a sqeaky noise coming from the rear. I thought it was the shocks sqeaking. The shop said the shocks were fine (no sign of leaks). But, they said my rear brakes needed replacing. I had them replace the brakes. The vehicle still makes the sqeaking noise especially when I hit a bump. Has anyone else experianced this problem?
rear spring seat, have these get checked, they maybe worn out.

I'm having the same problem with my 2003 pilot. Most of the time nothing is left on to drain the battery power. Has anybody found a solution to this problem. In the meantime I will just always carry a moble battery charger.

alternator possibly not charging. have your compressor belt get checked along with the alternator.

I have an 2004 Pilot while driving the"D" light kept flashing which indicated transmission problems. I took it to the dealer they put it on a diagnostic machine and said that the pressure switch in the 4th gear needed to be replaced and flushed my transmission .Now my transmission is very rough it sometimes has to go up to 3500-4000 rpms before it will shift .Has anyone else experienced this problem?
you should have done replacing the transmission fluid minimum of @ 30,000 miles, its on your maintenance schedule (owner's manual) only cost less $150... you may need a new transmission now or have it repaired that will cost more depending the severity of damage.

I would use Scotchguard if I could get the stains up first. I was told by a detail shop not to use Scotchguard as I will seal in the existing stains. I have taken my Honda to 2 different places to clean the seats and neither could get the stains up. The second place did a better job and was able to get some of them that the other place couldn't I have never had water stain any cloth interior. This is a flaw by design. The shop I used said certain Saturn vehicles had this same issue.
...just "change" your vehicle to any other brand before its too late that you cannot buy the vehicle of your choice. i don't think you would buy a government owned and mandated to own vehicles...?

I just wrecked my 03 pilot.. I had 2 front end collisions,, I hit a light pole, then tree.. My airbags did not deploy.. I am concerned that hitting a metal freeway pole at 50 mph, then a tree at 30mph that the airbags never popped out. I will say the vehicle was totaled, but I am glad to be alive.. Has anyone else had airbag issues?
none of them i believe...only driving habbits issues. but indeed, be glad to be alive.

I have a 2007 Pilot EXL with 30,000 miles. I love the vehicle and take very good care of it. In the last month, I have had to call AAA three times to give me a jump start because the battery died! This has never happened to me with any vehicle before! All it took was sitting in the car listening to the radio for 30 minutes to drain the battery! The last time it drained after 15 minutes with the hatch up to unload! I am really angry and took it in to the dealer for service today. They gave me a song-and-dance that it is MY FAULT and that since there are so many things draining the battery 'nowadays' you can't sit with the car off and the radio on any more!!! I have to keep it idling to be sure it won't drain!!! What??!!! They 'charged' it and refused to replace it (still under warrrenty). Have any of you encountered this? Am I at fault or is it a particularly crummy battery? Do I have to worry every day that my battery may be dead because I forgot to unplug my cell charger?? Help!

Steve, I also have a 2005 Honda Pilot that I have been experiencing the exact same symptoms as you for months. I finally took it to Autozone who tested the battery, said it was fine and then started to test the alternator. When they started the alternator check the car died and I could not restart it. We tested the battery again and it was now BAD so I bought a new one. I still could not start it and I found out they blew my 120A fuse and of course only had an 80A in stock so we popped that in and it started right up. I've been driving it around with the new battery (and 120A fuse on order) for a few days with no problems. My battery was almost 3 years old so I am 'hoping' it just needed a new battery.

<quoted text>I have a 2003 Pilot with a similar problem. I am about to replace the battery. Generally, it starts fine. Every few weeks or so, the battery will appear to be completely dead, or will have just enough juice to cause the starter solenoid to click. A jump start works right away, and then I am good until the next time. I have turned off the interior light switch, as it seems that an light left on for a few minuutes will drain the battery. Dealer told me the battery was OK. Last time, they said it faled he load test, so who knows? I plan to take it to a battery shop and have it tested again.
I have a 2007 Pilot EXL 31,000 miles and in the past month had to call AAA three times for dead battery! I took it into the dealer and they 'tested' it and 'charged' it (would NOT replace under warrenty) and gave me a song-and-dance about how all the electronics are really taxing on the battery and this is a major problem for many people so don't ever leave ANYTHING on in the car without the engine being on... so how am I supposed to UNLOAD cargo, people etc? With the engine ON??? How can I keep the interior lights off? I am very unhappy about this. I have owned 10 vehicles (3 Honda's) in my life and NEVER encountered this problem. Does Honda have to install bigger/better batteries to deal with the electronics? Is this a 'major' problem with 'many' people? I did an internet search and only found Larry's comment...

I just purchased a 2005 Pilot and I am having the following problems:

The CD player does not work, it just says "DISC" and the CD ejects every time.

The CD changer does not work. I loaded 6 CDs, but when I push the CD changer button, nothing happens.

The remote keys do not work at all.
