This is from WikiAnswer: The newer GM vehicles incorporate the turn signal flasher with the hazard warning module

of course they failed to answer the next obvious question "where is the hazard warning module?"

Call your dealer, they'll be happy to answer this question. If not, go to Auto Zone or some place like that, look in the repair manual.

the relay is located under the dash, next to the steering coloum...have fun....its a very tight spot....to help locate it...turn your 4-ways on and listen for a clicking, its a small black relay on the steering coloum

I have a 2000 Chevrolet Venture and my turn signals and my hazzard lights do not blink. After talking to 2 GM Dealers and 3 Auto parts stores, I found a young man at Nappa that actually knew where the Flasher was and showed me on the vehicle. It is to the left of the steering column, in the back, covered by a flap of carpet that holds a small light. Once you unsnap the carpet, where the small light is you will need that light or a flashlight to see the black combination flasher in the back. There is a clip on the side of the flasher you will have to push in to release it. The hardest part is getting back there and releasing the clip. The GM Dealer has the exact part for $37-$42. I am still trying to figure out if the Nappa after-market flasher for $15 will work, as it does not say it is a combination flasher, rather it says it is for the turn signal or hazzard flasher. The Nappa flasher also does not have the additional sleve that will protect the connection. Hope this helps you.

OMG I am so happy to find information using the Google search. I did a Bing Search and got no where. Thank you Joe from Trinity, TX. I have a 2000 chevy venture that needs the flasher replaced and the stupid dealer had my brother on a goose chase looking for it. I think they do that just so you can take it into them so they can fix it for you and charge you an arm and a leg to do it. Anyways thanks for the info I have past it along to my brother.

I promise I will never ever buy a Chevy! nor will I allow any of my 4 children to do so.
Ridiculous!
Just to replace darned flasher relay I had to research for 1 whole week just for the location! Wasn't even in the spot identified in my original owner's manuel.
Finally, after following 3 different suggestions from 3 different web sites, I was able to locate it. Then, was unable to access it and had to resort to a mechanic whom referred me to the dealership as he refused to work on any Chevy vans!!

Signal lights stay on with driving lights.
I have a 2003 Chevy Venture and when the driving lights/ headlamps go on, the turn signal lights also go on and stay on. When I turn to the right, it blinks but when I turn to go left, it just stays on without blinking. However, when the driving lights go off, the turn signals work properly. I have changed the flasher(after market) and turn sinal/headlights and cruise control switch assembly but these have not helped. Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

my left turn signal works fine. Myright turn signal blinks rapidly. I know that usually means a bad bulb. I have replaced the bulb--still does the same. Is there a possibility that the flasher or something else could be bad. I so, what? thanks

Great info, but I had an issue getting the housing off of the relay. After struggling to get to the flasher, then get it off, I wasn't about to spend the time to get the relay out. I bought an after market flasher, maybe I needed the housing that it goes in as well. Its now attached with velcrow. Either way, I still hate my van with a passion. I will NEVER EVER buy a Chevy or let anyone I know make such a stupid decision. The crap thing literally falls apart. I'm terrified of how this thing will crunch in an accident! Horrible job, Chevy.

Did the after-market relay work for anybody? I have the same problem as jacksprat, also a DRL that wont light. Car looks stupid when I see my wife go by. Otherwise it is reliable, gets decent mileage, and paid for. Three pluses.

I am having the same issue with my 03 Venture. It used to work right on and off, but now it is just simply not working at all. Have you found a fix for your issue?
