i am looking to change the secondary air injection valve on our 2004 trailblazer. can someone tell me where its located? Is it the valve bolted to the head on the passengers side? Also, is this part available from an auto parts store or only a dealer. Is it called an air injection valve? We just had the blower/fan under the truck changed at the cost of $400.00 and still have a P0410 code. repair guy wants to now change the valve, but I want to do it myself. Thanks for any help.

The blower is located under the drivers seat. If you locate that, you can follow the hoses. One will go to the air filter area. The other will go to the valve. It is located on the passenger side. It will have one hose and one electrical connection. Disconnect that and unbolt the valve (2 bolts). I removed mine and took it apart, unstuck the valve and cleaned it with carb cleaner. Put it back together and it solved the problem. You can get the part at a parts store. My part store was murrays and it was $107. Good Luck

I drilled a 1/8" hole in the bottom of the hose fitting that was the lowest coming out of the pump. No more water in the air pump.
