Wow! I'm having the same problem with my 2006 Trailblazer EXT. The dealer I went to, told me the part would be $240.00 PLUS THE LABOR. Totalling around $500.00+. There must be something that can be done!

I have an 07 Malibu. When I fill it, the guage goes up, then right to empty. The bell dings, and the chech engine light comes on. It will sometimes work when the tank reaches the 1/2 mark. I hope it's just a sensor, and I don't need the tank droped.....

There is a bulletin out on the Instrument Panel Cluster. Seems the gas gauge and speedometer are effected. Wonder why the sending unit in the tank would make the speedometer needle stick too? I think GM is trying to sweep this under the rug. Maybe more than one way to fix the issue, one that is covered by them and one that costs you/us $$$. Which one do you think GM would rather say it is!

My 2007 Trailblazer is just 2 years old today and I have been having this problem for over a year now. I thought it was my engine, but after seeing a mechanic was told it was not. I am beyond upset as Chevy will do nothing to rectify the problem. There should be a recall or I am all for class action.

It seems this may be a problem with these vehicles. I had a mechanic tell me the sensor runs 400-500 just for the part.
The Part is $77 from GM parts direct it's the fuel level sensor. I don't know about labor cost to replace it though.

Have the same fuel sensor problem on my 07. Also transfer case just went on it, two hours after I spoke to GM head office about this vehicle. Also exploded fuel line on a hot engine just last month. Almost turned me into bbq. Also a host of other problems. Lawyer will be taking over tomorrow.

Hello everyone,
I just sent 7 On Your Side News an email asking if they could or would investigate this matter and possible get something done. These vehicles cost too much money for this to happen to most people who own one. It should be a recall item at the expense of GMAC.

Hi - I have a 2007 Trailblazer. The other day I pulled into a parking lot, and noticed that my fuel gauge read "Empty". I thought this was strange, since I had just put gas in. As I watched, the gauge began to rise, and after about 30 seconds was back where it should be. This has happened two more times since then.
I thought about taking it in for repair, but since I had no waring lights on (Check Engine, etc), I figured nothing could be done unless it happens to be malfunctioning when I take it in.
Has anybody had this problem, or does anybody have any ideas about getting it fixed? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
Hello everyone,

Today (10/13/09) I sent an email to 7 On Your Side News asking for help in this matter. I am hoping and praying that they can get GMAC to issue a recall for this problem.

I will keep you posted!

WOW! Seems to be a "common" problem! I thought I was one of the few and find I am one of the "many". Diagnostic tool we have reads PO463 but that tells me nothing. I got a book pn the 06 TB and it skips that number. Go figure. I agree that a recall is needed and if not, I say class action lawsuit!

Have a 2005 Trailblazer with 42000 miles with the same problem. Just filled up and the gauge reads whatever it wants too. Sometimes full and sometimes empty.
