The rear speakers just stopped working yesterday. If I fade to rear, I get no sound. Checked fuses...OK. Front speakers work OK. There is no rear audio jack or control.

Any ideas on how to fix?

Rico - did you find a solution to this? I have the same thing going on with mine - and, I think that they quit working after my daughter did a 'supreme' vacuuming job.

Rico, I had something similar happen to me. Both rear speakers and the font driver side quit. So I took the stereo out checked it and it was fine. Hooked up some older speakers I had and they worked fine. I think the trailblazers just come with some crapy speakers. Just go out and buy you some after market speakers. I got some pioneers put in a while back ago and havent had a problem yet. Good luck.

This recently happened to my car as well, I noticed the sound was not like it usually is and realized the back speakers didnt work, not even the slightest noise comes out. I hope if I get some new ones that it will work!!

I have a 06 Trailblazer and the rear speakers work intermittently. None of the truck was worked on to have caused the problem. Also, the head lights voltage fluxuates to the point that at night drivers ahead of me think I'm flashing my high beams. (That's a way to die).

when it gets cold my driver's side front and rear speakers dont work. I think it is just a crap stock radio that is doing this in my trailblazer.

for all you trail blazer drivers like my self we all have the same problem. for the head lights idk dont have that problem yet. but the speakers are a easy fix. the speakers are no good any more they need replaceing. and after you do that your weather strips need to be replaced every 3 years. there letting water in the doors and its frying the speakers. for best results put an after market cd player and speakers they will work longer and better

With regards to the headlight power spikes: Recently had the same issue, watch your voltage gauge on the dash next time it is happening. If it is rising and falling on either side of 14 amps then you have a dead spot in your alternator. It comes and goes for me, too cheap to replace the alternator. Also the speaker issue is due to the leaky weatherstripping. Mine stopped working the day after a bad rain storm.

I had the same problem with the speakers and headlight. The reason was that parts in T-Blazers are designed to serve only for sertain time, when the time comes they have to expire and should be replaced. Throwing an old car with its original parts like odo-meter, speakers, headlights... were gone in the old good days!!

I have the exact problem. My radio hasn't played like it is suppose to in three years. I also have the headlight problem AND a gas gauge problem. My TB is a POS!!! I wish there would be a class action lawsuit against Chevrolet. As much as I paid for this car, it shouldn't have had all these probelms!!

2008 trailblazer my speakers and chimes are intermittently going out so i doubt it is a fuse. I understand that the radio controls the chimes and the chimes are delivered through the front dr/speaker. I recently replaced the battery due to an idler pulley (alternator) whining noise. Apparentley the dealer said i also needed a new battery. Now my keyless remote is acting up and so on.... with the speakers and chimes. Any one with the fix is appreciated.

2007 Chevy Silverado z71. Just bought it. Took it to the car wash and now all that is working is the
tweeters. Front and rear speakers quit and door chime is very low volume. Of course it sounds water related but where how. I guess one of the door speakers/wiring it the issue. Will a short on one speaker cause this. Open for suggestions on where to start tearin apart.
Tweeters on front cab posts work. Front and rear door speakers quit.

I also have the headlight and rear speaker problems. I also had a gas gauge problem (among other issues). Luckily the gas gauge was covered under an extended warranty I purchased. Another common problem they have. I also have something going on with the front end. I agree that this vehicle was not a great purchase.

I have the same issue with speakers and instrument panel. My second instrument panel (replaced the first 2 yrs ago) works now after replacing the batter a few days ago. Rear speakers and front driver speaker don't work anymore, though the front speaker does work on the rare hot, dry summer day. Going to try replacing front speakers next week.

One morning I woke up to none of my speakers working(so now I have a external speaker hooked up, so i dont have to ride in silence), and none of the buttons on the driver side door work, window, door lock, window lock. Not sure why or if there is any connection in the speakers and buttons to quit funtioning all at once but im sure it's not a coicidence. It's gonna cost me 80/hr and GM for them to look at it and maybe tell me what the problem is and how much it will be to fix it. But I figure I could just start here.

Same problem here with the speakers, driver side and rear. But everything on the driver side door stops working as well. All the fuses are good and everything just up and starts working then goes back out after a few minutes.. It's gotten to the point that even when it is working I'm afraid to roll down the window cause if it goes out my window is stuck til it gets back working.. I'm gettin the voltage problems as well.. Is it that this car is just a pos?
