I have a 2004 Suburban starts fine every morning, when I drive it during a really hot day anywhere example the store, when I get back to start it won't i have to wait to let it cool off anywhere from 10- 20 mins.. We replaced the Battery, starter, relays, water pump.. this is the second summer with this frustrating issue.. We don't have this problem with it in the fall/winter any suggestions?

I have a 1997 GMC Suburban 5.7 SLT . I was driving the truck and it just shut down. At first it hesitated then it just shut off. The truck cranks but it doesnt start. I checked for fuel and spark and I have neither. I replaced the coil and the ignition module and still no spark and no start . I can hear the fuel pump when I turn the key to the on position but I dont see any fuel at the throttle body. I checked all fuses and relays and everything checks out. Any ideas?

Andrew and Thomas I have a 1982 Chev Suburban in Aus with issue of starting when cold only. We got to the stage we were putting a hair dryer on the dist pack to start it. Replaced plugs, module twice, leads, and distributor. It finally came to the coil-it had a minute crack in it that wouldn't let you start it SOMETIMES. That took over a year to find as the fault so Thomas I would say change it and see how you go

Have you checked the fuel filter? I had the same problem and it's a 10 min job.

Please someone help me. We took our 2007 3/4 ton Suburban in the dealer 4 weeks ago and they still can find out what is going on with my car. When taking off from a complete stop the car will "shudder" like something is wrong with the transmission. So we took it to be looked at. The service department hooked car to a diagnostic computer which gave then a error code. After replacing a part and giving the care back to, they told us the car was fixed. We drove the car home and the sound was still there. Called the dealer and was told it was ok and to just drive it over the weekend and bring it in Monday morning. We proceeded to drive the car to the lake, pulling our boat. 1/2 way there a message come up on message board saying "Transmission hot. Idle engine" We immediatley pulled the car over and called the dealer. They told us to take the care out of Tow Mode and drive it slow. Bring it back in Monday morning. The message came off and on. We offered to get a Tow truck and was told it was OK and to just bring it in Monday morning. That was 4 weeks ago and the shudder is still there after many parts have been replaced. Just really upst and need some advice.

I have a 97 sub and my battery keeps draining its not the alternator or the battery that is bad so if I get a jump or a freshly charged battery and crank it. It will run all day without any problems. So now I have to disconnect the cables to keep a charge but in the morning it will be dead. So to drive it I connect the cables in the morning and when I get out of it for the day disconnect the battery. My next step is to take it to an electrican.

Ray, how did you disconnect the security system? Many, many burb owners have the dreaded "Passlock" curse.

Any clues on how to do this will be appreciated.

my 2003 Suburban starts to die and shows a "reduced engine power" message. If I turn the key off and wait 10 seconds it will normally be good, maybe for days, maybe for minutes. Any ideas?

my 2004 1500 suburban is making a clanking, clicking sound when i drive. i let off the throttle and sound goes away. i but the truck up in the rear and placed it in drive but no sound was made. i took it off the jack stands and back on the the road and sound was there again. also noticed when i floored it not all power was there. could this be my oxygen sensors?
