You need to have your fuel filter and pressure regulator replaced.

My 2007 Suburban DIC reads "Engine Hot A/C turned off" upon starting...but the engine is not hot as the vehicle was sitting outside at -10 celsius for 2 hours! After driving it home...I shut off engine and now it will not start at all.
Any ideas?

At the risk of stating the obvious I presume your oil and coolant are running at the correct levels

YES! Checked all levels and both are near full! I'm guessing the thermostat is malfunctioning! We have had a fair bit of blowing snow over the last few days...might have something to do with this.

Thanks!

I have a 1997 GMC Suburban 5.7 SLT . I was driving the truck and it just shut down. At first it hesitated then it just shut off. The truck cranks but it doesnt start. I checked for fuel and spark and I have neither. I replaced the coil and the ignition module and still no spark and no start . I can hear the fuel pump when I turn the key to the on position but I dont see any fuel at the throttle body. I checked all fuses and relays and everything checks out. Any ideas?

"EXPENSIVE WIRE REPAIR"
Well I towed the truck to veapias good year in union nj where I used to work at. They hooked up the scanner and cranked it looking for a signal and found no signal at the crank sensor so they replaced it thinking that was it and still no start. So they disconnected my alarm and still no start then opened up my dash and nothing found. They had to get the company's A tech to come to the shop and he found a burnt wire on the exhaust manifold going to the crank sensor. So after 1 1/2weeks and $502 later I got my truck back without the remote start working and a broken wire for the led alarm lite.Ill fix that myself. On the good side I got it just in time for the big snow storm . I hope this helps some one out. If it was the summer I know I would of found it but with the snow on the ground and a small garage that my truck wont fit into its very cold to work outside.

I have a 99 suburban that I have replaced the fuel pump about a month ago, and now it is doing the same thing again. It won't start, then it will, then the next day it won't start again. It will do this for a couple of days and then it's dead for good and will just turn over and not fire. I know new parts can be bad but this has happened twice, last time about 2 years ago.

Got a 1999 chevy suburban that i had to let it sit for a while due to transmission problems. Finally got the trans fixed after about a year. Tried to start it up and nothing. It turns over fine, i also installed a new fuel pump. and still it won't start. Tried some starting fluid and it wants to run. just not on it's own. any suggestions?

I'm thinking of buying this 99' GMC saburban (1500). It seems to run low oil pressure and the best I can tell theres no reason (it needs an oil pan seal but its not bad) and theres NO oil leaks under it exept the pan. It has some vibration in the front end after hitting 50 or so but, dose not wonder. The barrings are tight and theres no uneven wear on the tire. What do you think? anybodys input is greatly apreciated.

AND AROUND THAT TIME IWAS DRIVING REALLY FAST THREW BUMPY DIRT ROADS WITH WATER PUDDLES AND LOTS OF MUD MY BURBAN WAS COVERED WITH MUD AND A COUPLE DAYS LATER MY RADIO POWERS ON BUT IT DOES NOT PUT OUT ANY MUSIC BUT IT WILL MAKE A SOUND LIKE TWO WIRES ARE TOUCHING OR SOMETHING THEN DRIVING HOME ON THE HIGHWAY ONE DAY THE ENGINE JUST TURNED OFF BUT STARTED RIGHT BACK UP AND IT DID THAT ABOUT 4 MORE TIMES WITHIN 10 MILES A FEW DAYS LATER IT RUNS FINE SO I DROVE 45 MILES AWAY FROM HOME AND ON MY WAY BACK IT DID NOT TRY TO DIE UNTILL ABOUT 80 MILES INTO THE TRIP BUT IT NEVER REALLY DID DIE IT JUST STARTED TO BUT I MADE IT HOME THE NEXT DAY I TRAVELED 55 MILES AWAY FROM HOME AND THE SUBURBAN WAS DOING FINE UNTILL SOMEONE PASSED ME AND IT SEEMED LIKE RIGHT WHEN HE PASSED ME @ 70 MPH MY BURBAN DIED AND IT TURNED BACK ON I MADE IT TO TOWN AND IT DIED AGAIN ON A VERY BUSY STREET SO I HAD TO PUSH IT (VERY HEAVY HARD TO PUSH) OFF TO THE SIDE AND IKEPT TRYING TO START IT EVERY COUPLE OF MINUTES FOR 30 MINUTES AND IT FINALLY STARTED AND I DROVE 1/4 MILE AND IT DIED AGAIN SO I PUSHED AGAIN AND SAMETHING 30 MIN LATER IT RAN FOR 10 MILES AND KEPT SHUTTING OFF SO I FINALLY PULLED IT HOME

My wipers won't work. I turned them on in the morning then turned them off. Then I went to turn them on as it was raining and they wouldn't turn on. I kept trying to turn them on then finally about 20 minutes later they started working. The fuss is okay. Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this problem? It's a 98 Chevy SUV. Do I need to put this into the shop or could I fix it myself? Could it be a defective wiper motor, or even a faulty switch?

I have a 1994 suburban and it had the exact same symptoms. It turns out chevy has a problem with the wiper motor boards. It is not the wiper motor itself, but the computer board that drives it. It is located on the firewall in the engine compartment above the steering shaft, it costs about $30 at the auto parts store.

hope this helps

I Have been having the same problem especially when I stay over night at a higher altitude exept I have to wait two hours until it will start, then it runs great until I go back into the mountains again. It is very frustrating, and has been happending ever since I bought it new 7 years ago. I wish someone had the answer, because gm certainly does not.
Thanks
I'm having the same problem. My Suburban starts right up, then cuts out immediately. After a few hours, it sometimes starts, sometimes not. Did you ever get this fixed? Please help. Thanks

I'm having the same problem with my 1999 Chevy Suburban. It starts up o.k., then cuts out immediately. After 3 tries, the security auto-shut off kicks in. Sometimes, after a wait period of 1-4 hours, if I try again, it will then start ok. I've had this problem 6 times. 3 times I was able to start the car after a few hours, but 3 times had to have it towed, they replaced the securty/ignition system, but that did not fix it. I've read a lot of people have this same problem, but no one is telling how to fix it. Pleas help.
Thank you
