2002 chevy silverado truck wont stay running

my 2002 chevy trucks fuel guage is not working....sometimes it will work for about 10 or 15 seconds.....i was told that it was a bad fuel pick up.....whatever that is. any suggestions?

I have a 2002 2500HD 8.1Liter crew cab with a goose neck hitch ball in the bed. Towing our LQ Horse Trailer the truck has stalled twice but restarted both times with no problem. The dealer checked all codes and found no problems. Now it stalled again today and again restarted okay. Wife is pissed. Needs a reliable truck when towing horses. Fuel pump? Computer? What?

Recent problem with troublie free 2002 Tahoe with 68k miles. When I turn the ignition key, the starter cranks, but will not turn over the engine. All dash indicator lights are on, just no engine running. This will happen 2-3 times (dash indicators on, starter cranks, no engine start). Then on the 3-4 try, the engine will catch and start up. The problem is getting worse (more frequent). Also, on a couple of times this has happened, the dash board indicator lights will go completely out, after the starter cranks (without the engine starting). But here is a clue. On some of the the times where the dash indicators go completely dark (after starter cranks with no engine start), the dash board clock resets to 1:00. Now, the only time I've seen a dash board clock reset is when you take out the battery. I replaced the battery, and everything else seems normal. All electical systems work with the engine running, or when using the battery. Please provide any diection you can.

my 2001 silverado headlights come on all at once with the switch in the off position. it does NOT have auto headlights. can anyone help?

I have a 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500 4X4 with the 4.8! It starts and dies immediatly? Fuel Pump?
