I bought a new 07 Silverado with the 5.2l. Love It!
Anyone have a good source for Bedrail guards?
Also, I put a K&N filter in it. I can feel an increase in throttle response, but mileage dropped from 17 mpg to about 15.2! Ya, I'm taking it easy and not lead footing it. Any ideas? Too rich now?

Chevy sells real good bedrail guards...got mine for around $100 from the dealer parts counter...Gas milage should go up with the new filter...We have a tendency to "hot foot" it to listen to the sweet sound of the unrestricted air...

I have a 07 Silverado LTZ (new style)...Everything works well except that I can't see the instrument cluster in the daytime. Is there anyway to make these dash lights come on with just the regular Daytime running lights?

Try running the fog lights in the day. I have H.I.D. replacement bulbs on my LTZ and the daytime lights don't work. I use my fog lights instead. It does turn on the running lights though.

The New Silverado come with 4 engine choices 4.3, 4.8,5.3, and 6.0 so i would check with your dealer and find out what happen to the other 0.1 litre

Don't pamper it too much, that can hurt overall gas mileage especially in the first few thousand miles. Engines need to be worked a bit to break them in properly IMO. It will thank you with better ring seal and better compression.

New Question... I just bought a new 07 LTZ. Does anybody know of a way to turn off the auto locking feature that locks the doors when you shift from park? You have a choice of "at park" or "at speed" but no option to turn it off. I hate it. Please help!!!
