I have a 2000 Silverado 1500 5.3.. The tach, speedometer, temperature and fuel gauges are not working, but the oil pressure and battery gauges are still working correctly.. The odometer quit working as well.. Also at the same time it seemed like the transmission will not sift now.. I've checked the fuses, is this a computer issue?

I have had this same issue and long behold it was the ignition switch for my 2000 silverado the electrical part of it not the key cylinder. Cost me 90 bucks and some wiring to plug in and you are saved. Hope you try this cause you will thank me.

The problem solved. Ignition switch electrical was the issue. The fuse panel was defective so the mechanic bi passed it and put in an inline fuse. Probably will need another fuse panel eventually. Thanks for the tips.

It's a fuse located on the left side of you're cluster. It's egn1 fuse. Good luck. It fixed my problem.

I have a 2000 chevy and will go into park but no other gears. All gauges work is there a fuse that could have blown and not making it go into gear?
