All right my truck misses from 24 to 3000 rpms. The temp does not get over 160 fahrn changed sensor by thermostat and theromstat temp still around 160 so help will be greatful how do I get gemp up 3 new theromstats all 195 theromstats
Change the sensor on the side of the head on the drivers side and the sensor on the intake manifold and you might want to look into you oxygen sensor or possibly the map sensor or even both especially if the Check Engine Light turns on. I changed the Oxygen sensor and it improved the running of the motor by alot.

I have a 1994 5.7 chevy c1500 and have been having some of the same problems mentioned previously. At idle, the truck runs a little rough, but once it gets going, its fine. Also, it has been fouling up a lot of spark plugs recently. This may be because I just used a motorvac on it and the crap from the engine is stickin to the plugs, but idk. has anyone else had this problem?

Hi I have a 94 GMC Silverado with a 5.7 Litre in it. I was driving it last week and when I went up a hill I lost power. I pulled over and it was surging even at idle, my dreaded check engine light was on. I have a code reader and when I got it home found a 44 o2 sensor. I have since replaced the sensor and changed a fuel filter for good measure. Started it up and it ran at idle but when I put it in gear it dies and is surging again. I took my air cleaner and clearance ring off the throttle body and both injectors are spraying evenly even when it dies out. Now the o2 sensor code is back, I checked it over and it only has one o2 sensor in it. Any help would be appreciated
sounds like the convertor is stopping up cut it off sell for scrap have a garage weld you a pipe in its place dont let them cut the o2 cesor off with it you should walk with about 50 bucks in your pocket and have the problem fixed

There are two. One on top of the intake by the t-stat housing and the other one is on the left side of the head between #1 and #3 cylinder.

wWe have a 94 Silverado, 350 engine. We had a lift gate put on for work, and it has been doing fine, until yesterday. We used the gate, got in the truck and it ran then died , it started back up, but would not run after we got home. It will crank up, not very strongly ,but as soon as you put in gear, or mash on the breaks it dies. We had a new roto button ,cap, and electronic control module put on ,but there is no change. We're running out of money can someone please recommend something.

Well, my 94 Z71 350 still runs rough between 45 and 60 mph. I changed plugs, wires, rotor and cap, both temp sensors, thermostat, fuel filter, and put on a brand new muffler (the old one was swiss cheese). I guess I could change the IAC next. Could it be running bad on a bad plug in one of the cylinders? I hate to keep throwing money at this thing with no good coming of it. It ran fine when I bought it. Typically, I can fix Joe Blow's truck but not mine.
The stalling is due to the TPS sensor, the tep sensor controls the feul mixture. Start the truck and unplug the temp sensor, if the motor does not surge, you have a bad temp sensor.

My 1994 Z71 would die after it heated up when i came to a stop, the TPS sensor fixed the issue, the truck still felt like it lost a little power when it heated up, i changed the temp sensor and it cleared up. It also fixed the overdrive issue i had.

I have a 94 chevy 1500 5.7 liter. Starts and idles fine, but when I give it gas it revs up to 3000rpm the first time and after that will sputter at 1200-2000rpm and fall till it almost dies. Ive changed the fuel pump, fuel filter, distributor, spark plug wires, and air filter. Anyone have any ideas of what it could be?
