GM reports August sales record in China

General Motors Co. said Wednesday it set a record for August sales in China, jumping 7.3 percent from the previous August, as GM and joint venture partners sold 220,996 units.

GM and others will continue to put less emphasis on American sales with China available. They don't have as many factory environmental rules and maybe not product safety and emissions either.

Good luck in repatriating those profits though.
