Winter is fast approaching and I'd like the honest opinions of the people on this board.
Should I get Winter tires for the incredibly crappy winter we may be in for here in Upstate NY? I've heard opinions in the past from some who say to just stick with All-season tires, and some who insist on winter tires. Please let me (and anyone/everyone else who may be wondering!) what type of tires you will use this winter, and what brand you trust or feel is the best! Don't forget to tell us why too! Thanks for the input everyone! |

Your post is a couple weeks old, but here's my 2c. I live on Long Island so winters aren't bad, so I've been buying Michelin MXV4s for many years. Routinely get 60-65K on them with excellent results in rain and the little snow we get. Upstate, not too sure what you should do. If it snows, how badly do you HAVE to get to work? If you have no choice, I'd go with Blizzaks (sp?) or browse Tirerack.cm.....lot's of good info there.
