Driver plunges into construction hole

A 61-year-old man drove into an eight-foot hole after he passed construction barrels on a closed downtown street Wednesday.

I'm shocked anyone drives in downtown Fort Wayne. Normally tumbleweeds and crickets are the only inhabitants.

Was the hole eight feet deep, or eight feet wide? Do tell. I used to live in Ft Wayne, and those aren''t the only pits in that winter-time helluva hole town. There were never enough street lights to SEE anything on those downtown streets!!!
