my 04 impala heater fan just started squealing...no repairs have been done...but have had a code year ago that engine coolant temp was too low(bad or stuck thermostat?) would a bad or stuck thermostat create the squealing if the repair to the thermostat was not done?

No it would not be related to the thermostat not being repaired. The blower fan motor is probably worn out and will eventually have to be replaced. Is the engine 3.4 or 3.8 liters? If you have a 3.8 liter the thermostat is an easy replacement. Low engine temperature will result in reduced fuel economy so it is worth repairing. |
