I have lost all sound with my radio even my warning chimes, I have checked all the fuses but can't seem to find a blown one and I don't believe the speakers are blown. Does anyone have a suggestion?

I got the same problem, the speakers on my 05 impala ss went out and get no sound. Talked to some guy and he said he just fixed the same problem without a new amp or fuse, wouldnt tell me the problem unless i hire him to fix it. i have to wait for monday so my buddy can check it out. I also have a leak that lets rain water in my passenger side and flows to the back since i park on an incline. maybe the water has somthing to do with it? Cant find the leak also.

Go to a car radio shop (not the dealer)...it's the amp in the back which can be fixed at around $200

nooooo the water is from a faulty water diverter over the cabin air filter. it has probably fallen in. take off the plastic cover under the windsheil wipers and look for a piece of plastic 2 ft long. it will just look wrong. and yes the water is your problem with the radio. it has shorted out the wiring under the carpet behind the passenger seat inside the wiring harness. if u trace the orange wire out it will run into a connecter wnere it turns into two wires. money says this is where your problem is. save your 600 for a real system.

I have just recently had the same problem with my 2005 Impala with no noise from the radio system. It first showed up as a static noise even when I wasn't using the sound system. It has happened twice. I don't think it is related with the wet back seat passenger side floor though. As the radio only happened recently and the floor being wet has been.

i had the same problem and yes it was the orange wire being damaged from the water getting into the car. I had a wire ran and it works again. Thank You to IA chiefs and big vkd especially IA chiefs for the orange wire and the problem was solved.

I have an 06 Impala with a similar issue. My radio wont come on, my blinkers work but make no noise. I know one of my front side speakers might be blown but that happened before this issue. I don't have any problems with leaks. Unless my stereo not working has something to do with my ac making a lound annoying clicking noise everything I switch it from defrost to normal cold ac. Changing my ac to defrost is oddly fine, its only when I go back to cold ac.

I don't know the name of the piece of rubber that runs along top of the hood area by the Front Window but if you take of the plastic cover the water diverter has probably fallen off track and just needs to be put back on. Easy fix. My nephew and I figured it out one day and took five minutes to fix after almost a year of water pouring in my car daily. ugh.

the water leaks in thru the cowl vent at the back of the hood. that water corroded the amp power wires. pull the trim and carpet up on passenger side by the front seat. look for an orange wire that has a splice with one orange in and two oranges out
