Headlight on my equinox

I drove to the store, my headlights were great, not dim, nor did I have any previous problems. Came out of the store, both headlights were out. I had to use my super high beams to get home. Is this even possible, both lights going out with no warning? What could be the problem. Is it possible that the fuse went out. I don't want to hear that it takes a lot of hard work to open the headlights to replace the bulb so they can charge me a fortune. Even the dealer when I called already started setting the stage to charge a lot by saying he never heard of this before so he would have to study the car to find out what is wrong; could be electrical etc and so on....Everyone always says, electrical when they want to charge you a fortune...Anyone knows what could be the problem.

I've driven for almost 50 years and have never had to replace bulbs like I have now on the Equinox. As soon as one bulb is replaced, another goes out. Probably the only woman driver that travels with a bulb supply. I was griping to a neighbor, who also has an Equinox and she'd spent over $1,000 taking it back and forth to the dealer exploring the electrical system. Her headlights went out on a trip through the mountains in WV (at night). They had to use a powerful lantern in order to see where the road was. Fortunately, they had packed one in the car "just in case." My headlights also have condensation inside the headlights. I elected to just live with traveling with a bulb supply rather than spending many more $$$ trying to have the dealer try to find out what's wrong.

Hi. I have a 2005 Chevy Equinox and would appreciate your help. The fan blower just stopped working. I still have cool air (per thermometer I put in the vent) but no fan to blow the air. I also have water in my front driver's side headlight, the cigarette lighter hasn't worked in a year, and now a break light is out on the back driver's side. Do you think these problems are related? Any suggestions? Thanks!
