I'm missing the point you haven't made.
You're missing more than the point. American made is not always made in America. Toyota is American made right up the road in Kentucky. Nissan is American made right over the county line in Smyrna. Of course, to be American made by your standards, they must be UMW made. UMW won't be large and in charge of the White House forever. Let's hope the country survives their influence. After all, they destroyed GM and now they want to run the country.

Listen up my little racist. If GMC and Chrysler built a decent vehicle folks would buy it. There is a reason people love their Honda's, and it damn sure is not because they are cheap. Compare the resale value of an Accord compared to any GMC product.

Really. What other racial/ethnic slur could you fill in "IHate[fill in blank]Lovers" with, use it as a screen name and not get banned or at least deleted?

Anyone care to find out?

Oh wait, I'm sorry. When it's the forces of "Tolerance and Diversity" using such racist pejoratives, then it's OK. Never mind.

If anything, it's instructive as to the bigotry of these types. Which is why it's impossible to take such a backward bigoted thug seriously.

You union chest-pounders, you're your own worst enemies.

You will be hard pressed to not have to use metric tools on any vehicle today no matter where it was made or by whom.
The use of metric over standard changed quite a while ago, and it is simply a different form of measurement.
GM at least started changing over to metric in the late 70's and in it's plants in the USA.
Round headlights are a thing of the past as well, in case you haven't noticed that either.

Not that I disagree with your opinion of GM as a heartless strictly money oriented corporation...but if your implying that all Engines and Trannys are not made in America then you are wrong.

What are you talking about? Heater motors? Wiper motors? And are the "trannys" the ones that wear chaps?
Who builds the Ecotec Engines? What kind of engines do SH and Tonawanda,NY build? Foreign made? Not! Thank you very much.

You are right most automobiles mad that claim USA made aren't. You can look at invoices and see where the parts are from. The USA doesn't make a vehicle that is 100% American made any more. Mazda is part of the Ford family. The one post was correct on foreing cars, they normally don't buy parts from Union shops. I do know that The Nissan plants in Japan are union......

Everyone predicted this would happen after our family members signed on for 3 years in Lansing. GM will employ new workers at the Spring Hill plant at lower pay while our Fathers and Mothers, Brothers and Sisters are stuck away from their families for 3 years... Dirty politics. I miss my Dad, and it's only been a week...
Those who left took incentives...they could have stayed here to wait it out the way my family did

Keep buying that Jap Crap or shop at China-Mart or other foreign based products pretty soon none of us will have jobs. There will be no place for our kids grandkids or great grandchildren to work. There will be no middle class to get taxes from. The only way to save the American economy is to get Americans working. If you haven't heard Ford Credit in Franklin Tn is laying off 225 of their employees 20% while all their calls are being made from Panama and account services from India. Keep sending our SS# info to foreign countries and wonder why we have identity theft and give terrorists info to fake id's.

To many "other" auto co. puts out good, cheap cars. They run forever it seems. Now why would GM think we should just buy their product so the CEO's. president, or vice pr. and union and the auto workers keep getting their big fat checks?
Cut the pay for everyone that plays a role in GM and put out a decent product then we might want to syupport GM.
agree with concerned citizen Support the American economy.....Keep buying that Jap Crap, shop at China-Mart or buy other foreign based products pretty soon none of us will have jobs. What happened to the American Dream... oh... Wal-mart put them out of business selling everything made in China. Toyota lied to them till too many people were killed that they had to court order them to recall. their faulty product.

I have driven many cars over the years and the best by far have been the Toyota and Nissan products. I had to GM lemons and one Ford Motors lemon. No union made car has lasted as long as the American made Toyota and Nissan. I am buying from American made. I will never buy UAW made.

If I run a business, and the union employee wants $35 an hour for the same product I can get in Mexico for $15 an hour, guess where I will do business. I am sorry, but a business is not a charity.

Exactly!!!! It is what the MARKET wants. Not what any car manufacturer wants. You have to make a great product and then slowly adapt. People will always go back to a product they trust. Where the Hell is the Volkswagen Beetle? You can put bells and whistles on anything but the public really doesn't want it. They want dependability. Cheap gas.No or little maintenance. Hitler would make a fortune today!

I was poor and my wife bought a 1980 Datsun (Nissan) B-210 wagon. I was pissed! I never changed the oil, I never washed it and then I had to change the original battery after nine years. The brakes were changed but easy as Hell. I gave the car awat because I bought my wife a new Buick. I wish I knew where that Datsun was right now.

Anything GM, Ford, are garbage. They have improved but will not own up to their warranties. I have many testimonies from other people.

I have had over 30 cars in my life. None of them were a Toyoto though. My father in law bought chevy trucks all his life and they were dependable as Hell! He later went to Toyoto. He gave me his Chevy trucks and I ran the to death!
