If you are thinking of purchasing a Corvette (either new or used) I would not reccomend that you go anywhere near Maxie Price Corvette in Loginville, Ga. The dealership doesn't followup on commitments they make, has proven to be deceitful and can't be trusted, in general, on almost any front.
I could go on and on were I to begin listing the number and ways they missed commitments and cost me money that I should never have had to spend. There are many, many good and honest Corvette dealers out there but Maxie Price is definitely not one of them. Beware !!!! |

I also tried dealing with maxie price on a new corvette(2007). what they said the car would sell for and what the final price was , were two different numbers, by more than $2000.

Maxie Price did a bait and switch on me when I purchased my 2002 Z06 from them and it took reporting them to the Georgia Consumer Fraud Division before they rectified the situation. They are crooks!

So what else is new. A real shocker, a dealership that is deceitful. I'll tell you what's a shocker, a dealership that isn't. When I buy my cars I do all sorts of back ground info not only on the car but also through the local BBB. Chamber of Commerce is a good tool too. It's this simple, 98% of all car salespeople are lying P.O.S.. You are a pay check to them not a customer. Just think of yourself as this beautiful green lush lawn and the salespeople as the dumba** dog that sh*ts on it. Good luck.

I got screwed by Maxie Price when I was on their Corvetteforum Z06 list@ msrp#17. Me and over 100 Corvetteforum members who put down $2000 a year before the Z06 came out. When Maxie Price got them in they forgot about the list and sold them for more $$$ Monica and Maxie Price got thrown off the Corvetteforum as a supporting dealer, which today had to hurt them. I asked for my $2000 back( 15 months later) and got the check in days.Ended out missing the 2006 year and bought locally a 2007 @ Msrp. Hope Maxie Price and Monica go out of business!

The worst buying experience I have ever had.
I would never recommend these guys for anything. |

I've never had a problem with Maxie Price! It was the best car buying experience I've ever had. I live in California, and all the dealers out here charge over sticker for Corvettes. I bought my first Corvette from Maxie Price back in 2002, because they were highly recommended by all the Corvette clubs. I paid well below MSRP, and saved around $8,000. It was a factory order, and was drop shipped to a local dealer in my area. The one problem I did have, was the slimmy dealer out here was mad that I bought it from Maxie. So, they held up delivery for over 1 month! I think a lot of these "horror stories" are coming from other dealers/salesmen who can't compete. Also, why is Maxie Price one of the largest volume Vette dealers in the USA? Hmmmmm?

1 Well, with going through life with the name "Cindi." You're obviously a "Bimbo." You were upside down to begin with. You see, the rule is when you buy a car, don't trade it in until after your "Right Side Up." Which is, usually after you've paid it off. To make it real simple. Don't buy a car, and then think you can trade it in for another car right away. Because, Cindi, you will be upside down! Perhaps, you should visit the web site: www.thewaythingswork.com . |

To,Rick L...For one thing you must have worked for Maxie Price before in your day OR you are a crooked car sales man....You know nothing about me and to call me a "BIMBO" you must have a small DICK!!!! Another thing you didn't know the situation I was in, Sooo before you judge someone- think twice about it and keep your friggin mouth shut!! My question to you is - are you selling the shit cars to Maxie Price to sell to us? I don't mean to be so forward with you but my thoughts about you are that you are a ASSHOLE!

my experiece with maxie price was great! In my area of the country dealers were only giving 500 off sticker back in 01. I called Maxie price on their ad in the auto trader to order a yellow coupe. They ordered it and 2 months later it was delivered to my local dealer and he wanted to know why I didn't order it from him duh! back then 4000 off sticker was great. I still have it today

I too had a very bad experience with Maxie Price Corvette sales force. Despite their exhorbitant doc fees ($399!) and DEALER SERVICE CHARGE ???(what the hell is this??) of $296.85, they cannot get enough of screwing their customers. We were promised the first two months payments because we did not intend to buy until January. We bought a 2008 the first day. AFTER we went through the finance office, we were asked to sign a We Owe stating that there was nothing further promised. At that time I asked specifically if we would get the check for two months payments as promised and was assured that we did not need to make a note of that. The salesman and the finance officer are no longer with Maxie Price. I assume that they believe that will calm my animosity toward them. After not receiving the check after a month and several phone calls( we were told my deposit check had to clear first which happened in 3 days), and NEVER receiving a payment book or notification from ANY financial institution, repeated phone calls with the standard response of "I'll call you back in ten minutes", and never receiving a phone call, I asked to speak to the general manager, John Braden. He was "unavailable" and called the wife the next day promising a free oil change and dinner next visit to the dealership, 150 miles away. With their outrageous fees, this would be a $700 oil change. This is not a Rolls Royce, so I consider that to be excessive on top of the almost $1600 first two months payments that we will obviously never receive. They apparently shopped our car loan to everyone on the planet which disturbs my wife greatly with her virtually perfect credit rating. Had she not checked her accounts, we would still have no idea who to pay with the first payment due December 1st, no idea of where and with whom the financing was finally done and the interest rate we were quoted 9.2 % turned into 10.9% as is a Maxie Price benchmark. We still have nothing from any financial institution as far as a payment book or notification of financing. With one phone call my wife financed the whole thing at 4.99% at her credit union. We were never offered a choice about financing. In the grip of excitement about buying a brand new Corvette, we were too trusting and excited to make intelligent decisions. At last contact with the general manager, he was to call me back in 10 minutes. That was two days ago and a consistent pattern with all Maxie Price employees. The only people at Maxie Price that have not lied to me thus far, are ones I haven't talked to yet. If they think this is over and I will give up, they are mistaken. Avoid this crook at all costs. The fact is that every business has its good times and bad moments. There isn't a car dealer, grocery store, gas station, restaurant or hotel in the entire world that has served everyone 100% to their liking. Companies make mistakes. Good ones learn from their mistakes and improve.
MP is local to our area. They've been here for over 30 years and have served people well, not just locally, but around the country. Regardless of the bad experiences a few people have had, it is no coincidence that they are the largest Corvette dealer in the southeast, and one of the largest in the United States. They got that way by being a good company. This is the same reason why the person who started this post bought their Corvette from MP in GA, rather than in his home state of CA.(???) At any rate, you should always do a lot of shopping around before you choose who you are going to go with no matter what you're buying. |
