Rear wheel drive is far superior in the snow than front wheel drive. You do not know what you are talking about, but then again you have to drive going backwards.

Then again I live in Florida so driving in any state where you have snow is akin to driving in reverse gear.

I want a rear wheel drive Impala with a Chevy small block-OMG!

PS: it is true that RWD cars in reverse are better that FWD on ice and snow.

2000 1 Gallon (3.8) Camaro. 190,000 miles-Front Calipers, shocks, plug wires, drivers side window motor....that is it!!! 29 mpg!!!

I bought a 2003 Mustang GT and I think I am regretting it. I live in Iowa and the winters get harsh. I live on hills and with the Mustang being rear wheel drive (but it has traction control), I am scared to drive this in the wintertime. Please help with any suggestions you might have. Thanks.
well, having trac control does help alot. that car having a straight axle has a better chance of spinning than 4 wheel independent susp. car, but assuming yours has limited slip, will get you around
rear drive only

having trac. control or limited slip will help you. See if it has that, if yes, you'll be fine

I have inherited my grandfathers 94 LT1 Caprice, and love it. He was a GM exec. in the 50's and 60's. He got this one fully loaded. It still hauls ass at 128,000 miles. License plate - NT4SALE

I totally agree that the front wheel drive is the best in Vermont Winter snows.... just dont slam on the brakes, or you will spin around.. Pulling up hills in snow is awsome. Had 4 front wheel drive vehicles already. But I hate anti lock brakes on any vehicle..

Yeah, except the volkswagen was rear wheel drive. If front wheel drive is so good, why don't they use it on the race track?? Why don't sports cars use it?? Why do all the top of the line cars have rear wheel drive?? Face it, you've been sold a bill of goods by the car companies who wanted to make more profit by making their cars cheaper, and you think you believe it.

I Love Front wheel drive, but I always make sure I have 4 Winter sand treads all around... dont get the fish tailing then..

I own a 2005 Impala and love it. I am 52 years old and live in Wisconsin. I remember driving rear wheel drive cars in the snow and ice and will never go back to rear wheel drive. Front wheel drive is the best thing since sliced bread. Remember the volkswagon adds in the 60s. They put the weight of the engine over the drive wheels. It works.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Cancer

Take things gently otherwise you'll end up running round in ever-decreasing circles. Yes, you may still have a lot to do but you won't achieve very much if you develop butterfingers or waste all your energy on a full-blown panic. Maybe you could rope someone into helping you, rather than doing your Cinderella act in the kitchen while everyone else takes it easy?
