the funny part is that GM can build cars that get 45+ MPG so cars like the Corvette can still be built. I think they are trying to hype up the car as being the last muscle car to be built so they can up the price.

old muscle car, for most, quit the daily driver role long ago and became a weekend/drag strip ride. The kids have carried on the tradition by tuning the Jap cars into the new muscle car. There is no reason Detroit cannot make a production model that is still fuel efficient, sexy, fast and safe. I think they still don't get it however. All the models now are generic and boring or heavy cartoon like gas hogs.
