Wake County Sheriff's Dept. Gets a Corvette

At least one sheriff's deputy in North Carolina won't have any trouble catching speeders.

That car could be auctioned off and the money used more effectively.
We need some level headed folks working for us and these guys are not them.

If any of you who posted a comment knew what the wake co. sheriffs dept. does you would shut your mouths. If the drug dealers are going to pay for it then less us it. I think that sheriff harrison is doing a great job. And I hop he keeps it up.

A great tool for law enfocement, I am glad that have it. this could
shorten high spped chases and save lives. The better the equipment
the better our protectors can do their jobs.Only a fool would hold
back the best handling, and safest tool for the type of work they do. I bet the people that object to this wouldn't do their job
with less that adaquate equipent, especially when there wasn't
any additional cost to the tax payers. A no brainer.....

If you had read the entire article you would have seen that it didn't cost the sheriff's department, or the taxpayers, any money since it was seized from a drug dealer!
