rough idle< check engine light

I 75000 miles on my 05 Colorado. No problems until 68000 miles. First my 4WD actuator shorted, and the 4wd kept trying to engage at ANY SPEED!! So I pulled the plug on the actuator. Not fixing it... Now have an idling problem, rumbling type, it vibrates every heat shield on the truck!Started taking those off because the noise level was so high. I know something about a head problem, with the valves buring up on certain vin#s. Anybody have this problem??? How was it resolved.

its probally the tsb on the head cause i have a o4 with 67000 and not a problem knock on wood, but the problem is resolved by you paying two to three grand for the dealer to replace the head with the new one, and you lose you truck for a couple of days but the dealer need to diganoise if its the head or not it could just be a bad set of plug or coil packs too. Try to look up the trucks vin to see if it one with that head. From what i have heard from guys i work with when the head goes it sounds like a diesal truck.
