where is the fuel filter on a 99 chevy cavalier
#2 Mar 25, 2007
On my 95 it is back by the gas tank. I can reach it without jacking the car up. Just crawl under, look up before you reach the tank, and you should see a little canister with a line going into one end and another going out the other.
One end will have a nut while the other will have a quick-connect. If the quick connect end has a black shroud thing over the fuel line, well then you can push the filter into the line while simultaneously pushing the shroud back to to the fuel line. However, if you do not have this shroud then run out to Autozone and pick up a special disconnect tool.
