How to replace door jamb switch.

There are some plastic barb clips along the sides of the switch. I can be difficult to get the switch out without breaking the barbs. You can try getting a probe down along the edges while pulling it out, but typically at least one of the barbs breaks on me. In the past when I need a replacement I go to the junk yard and get a replacement, which also breaks the barbs getting it out. When I put the junk yard one back into my car I simply use some RTV to glue it into place.
