I've got an 86 C-10 that originally had a 4.3 V-6 (according to the trucks vin number). The previous owner put in a 305. The only thing we can tell from the engine block number (14088551) is that it is in fact a 305.
I'm in need of giving it a tune up, however every part I look up asks if its a vin f or vin h 305? Since the vin number on the truck represents the original engine (4.3), how can I tell if the engine I have in there is an F or H? Thanks in advance. |

Where in the VIN does it fall? How many from the start? |
