i would take it to the dealer and tell them that TWICE they never put coolant in it and now it has a knock. Tell them to take it back and give you your money back or trade you for an identical one - BRAND NEW!

I owned a 2004 chevy aveo for 4 years.Consistently got it serviced by the dealer. One day I realize I have not heat and brought it to the dealer. They advised me that the coolant reservoir was empty and the engine had blown heads and they had no further answer for me as to why this occurred. Not once did a warning light come on that the car was overheating--I got rid of it and I would suggest you get rid of yours.

I wish you would have asked me first before you went out and purchased the aveo. Mine is paid off I bought it brand new and I have had 4 timing belts since that day. It is so sad what they are doing to people. I will never buy another one. i tell everyone I know to STAY AWAY FROM CHEVY AVEOS!!!

2008 Aveo continued to lose coolant (1 gal./1,000mi.) after several evaluations. Randy Marion Chevrolet removed the cylinder head, found a leaking plug, & repaired the problem, all on warante.

Donna I have a 2009 Aveo, and it doesn't heat very well in the winter are they all like that? I start it 20 minutes before I leave for work and when I go out it's sorta warm, but then as I drive it gets cooler. Usually cars get pretty toasty when you run them that long.
