Has anyone experienced a cronic dead battery issue with their 2007 Avalanche or Suburban?

I should mention that my truck has been "dead" twice in 5 weeks. The dealer can't seem to figure out what might be causing the problem. We have not left anyhting on overnight but the next day the truck is dead. I'm thinking I own a $40K piece ofcrap. This is very frustrating considering how new the truck is and what its costs.

don't panic, it's just a defective battery. GM says there is a problem with the battery cable ends.(that is on the sub's) I replaced my battery after the dealership said it was fine and it has been perfect ever since. it was dead 6 times before I tested it myself and the voltage was down to 8 volts. there was no abnormal draw so i knew it was a bad cell. no troubles in the last month. If they were smart they would replace your battery before pissing off a good customer. good luck. Bro |

Yes, I have my Avalanche jump started every 1 to 2 weeks. Very frustrating!!! I have now been told twice I need a new battery. I didn't want to believe it the first time I was told.
