My left front bumper air bag sensor went out last month.$175.00 at dealer to replace. Now my right front bumper air bag sensor went out. Same price for repair. Sounds like GM should be replacing these sensors for free. Dealer said they have had at least 6 vehicles lately with same problem.

The air bag warning light comes on sometimes in my 05 av. I took it in under warranty, and they reset it and said it was fixed. It still comes back on though and now it is out of warranty.

However; I was told it was probably the connector behind the left front drivers side kick panel. At any rate everytime the light comes on I kick the left kick panel with my left foot and it goes out for a few weeks. So in my case I think it is that connector.

03 truck service airbag light is on and from what I see here is there is no good fix. GM better get head out of @#%$^ and figure it out. Will loose lots of customers. there must be fault in wiring harness even their finest came even find. may be if we hit enough pot holes it will go away.

I had the same problem in my 05 Avalanche. Dealer kept saying it was the after market remote starter, but I had that disconnected and it still did it. Dealer FINALLY fixed it and said it was a bad connector under the drivers side kick plate (by the driver's left foot in front of the door).

The warranty is already up, but I'm bringing it in to the dealership so that they can take a look at it. I'm glad that I'm not the only one with this problem. If it's a mfg defect, they should fix it for free, even if my warranty is up.

I have the same problem with my 2001 2500HD this is 1 of the many problems that I had with this expense piece of junk. GM can't figure why we will never buy another product from them.

I have an 06 Lanche and the "service Air bag light" was going on and off for about a week. After redaing your comments, I went under my seat and tighten the connections, move the seat up and back and for now the light has not come back on!

I have a 2004 Suburban that came up with this problem right after I brought the car into the dealer for a detail ( interior/exterior ) cleaning of the car, plus an oil change. I never had the problem before the car cleaning. They are now telling me I need to replace the "left cam impact module". It sure seems like from all of the other threads is that they likely knocked some wire loose? They want to charge $700 for the repair! Sure seems like it is NOT a coincidence that this air bag warning came on right after the cleaning.

I have a 2004 Chevy 2500 Suburban 4WD as well. My service airbag is on as well. Also, my right rear door alarm is on. And the alarm keeps going off. I took it to dealer and they said a mouse bit wires! They fixed it and it worked for a few days. Then it all came back. I think they should just close the doors at GM. I would sell it and buy an import but nobody wants to buy a Suburban these days with gas at $4 a gallon.

A TSB is a "Technical Service bulletin". Put out by the manufacturers. GM uses TSB, Ford and Chrysler is called something else6

i have a 2004 chevy truck and i tried moving the seat forward and it turned off, then i moved the seat when i took it to get washed and the light does not want to turn off now. I know its the connection under the passenger seat but what is it called and how much does it cost.

I have a '03 Denali. I have brought the vehicle in 4 or 5 times. 2 of the times other parts have
gone out. The latest air bag warning light happened at about 75000 miles. The car now has 80K miles. Every time I take the Yukon in , the fix lasts for about 2 to 3 weeks. I have given up thinking GM will have the ability to fix their trucks.Unless somebody can come up with a fix, why bother taking it in.?

My 2004 Suburban "Service Airbag" warning keeps coming on. Th SUV has 26000 miles on it adn has been at the dealer 4 times to try to fix the problem. Still not fixed. Dealer said their was a TSB that specified replacing the wiring harness that runs from under the driver seat to the dash. Dealer attempted to fix it then replaced it - still having the same problem.

I have a 2003 chevy tahoe. I also have the same problem.Car sits outside and is affected by cold temperature. When it gets above 45 degrees it goes away.Iam guessing its the front bumper sensor.

I have a 2004 Silverado Z71.
Same problem with Service Airbag light.
Determined that the problem is in the seat connection, by moving around in the seat. Took it to dealor, got the same $95 troubleshooting cost quote. I told them not to touch it. After it came back from the dealor the light came on and could not be turned off by the reset light. A friend told me to disconnect the Battery cable and wait a minute before re-connecting it. The light hasn't come back on, to date,...
