Hi, I have a 2001 astro and the ABS light and Brake light come on at differnet times and then next time I start it up the lights are out. I had the shop flush and replace the brake fluid. It was black and low.(just bought the astro) Did not help. I don't think my ABS is working. Could it be a dirty sensor or the EXPENSIVE part? Any suggestions?

Chris, effectively you should look for dirty or faulty sensor.but you need to remove brakes for kleenup. your mechanic doesn't look for broken sensor wire during brake oil flush? Look also if the parking brake is perfectly functionnal.(in my ford pick-up, parking brake cable as been broken (pedal section), and the abs light do as you describe above, but since i replace cable the light come off and abs work)i don't know why but it work!!!
Ford like G.M. forget to keep it simple!!!
hope i help
