I agree--it's good press--but it conceals the truth.
All this good press conveniently ignores the other side of the coin.
Some plants are being upgraded, while others are being shut down---with operations moving to other countries.
The net result is US and Canadian operations are shrinking.
Given that US sales of D3 vehicles are less than a third of their total sales world wide, this trend will likely continue.
As it should. The capacity in NA should never be more than what the market demands.

Add another 700 jobs to Oshwa. This is good press.
BM (Baracks Motors) is still using smoke and mirrors when calling it an auto recovery(sic) with more workers being used...

and they seem to forget real fast that they are still using the taxpayers money as their cash cow.

Wifey says:
We will hear more about all the smoke and mirrors in the backroom auto talks in the future as BO calls those meetings...

His "more intimate session." in which it means a future wiki-leak.

BO and Clinton have been doing so much good in politics these past 2 years with the likes of "Iran nuclear program self-sufficient"
www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/meast/12/05/iran.nucle...

and wiki-leaks...

while here at home they gave us the for sure things of TAX INCREASES, HIGH DEFICIT and UNEMPLOYMENT figures without any strategy to pay for any of it...

all in the name of their SOCIAL/DEMOCRAT agenda that put them both in office - so as to change the foundations of America by replacing DEMOCRACY and FREE ENTERPRIZE with SOCIALISM and social/democrat politics.

Maybe its their performance here at home that has been so good these past 2 years that explains why we don't see them inside this country much anymore.

Or was that what the MIDTERMS answered.

Politics in the US is at it's lowest level of credibility ever.
And it doesn't matter which party you choose to examine for integrity---one seems no different than the other.

To be fair, it isn't much better elsewhere either!

Some things like Free Enterprise and Democracy work for this country...

while Socialism and Communism are it's enemies and examples of what doesn't.

You are correct, and that is why we are being taken advantage of by other socialist, communist countries along with illegal aliens and political, corporate, and individual greed. Our free society sends billions in aid to other countries. We give billions to foreign entities to set up here. Pete, charity starts at home.

Yea that's very true...

where you are blaming other country's for being at fault is where I am pointing my finger at the president...

who seems to have joined them in attacking our Business and Industry with his political party...

in the name of Social/Democrats.

It isn't as simple as a Democratic or Republican party failing this country. It's both, and it's us. We elect them. We buy items that don't support our economy. Not much to say about the grand finale for Bush's end of term? Business and industry have to be balanced with the needs of individuals and our culture here also.

You put in it's simplest form---and you're absolutely correct.
Too often we blame others, where in fact 'we', not 'them' are the authors of our misfortunes.

Yea that's very true...

Business and Industry will take care of itself as they need to stay private and they will only invest when and where they want to...

according to their own needs and BO needs to lead this country, not them, in all of this mess that you have listed above.

That is what makes America Work, not politics.

The office of the President is and should be a step above the politics. It needs to lead everyone using everything it has been given to do just that, even politics.

BO is an educated man and smart. We can only hope that he sees what you're saying and start leading instead of following.
