The road to profit
At the tender age of 43, Jamie Hresko is one of a new generation of leaders at General Motors focused on turning the company's fortunes around.
Despite sluggish sales, particularly in North America, Hresko says GM is making good progress. Hresko, GM's vice president of quality, was in Arlington on Friday to speak at the annual Economic Outlook Conference.
With a string of good new products launched in the past two years, new technologies and a cost-saving labor agreement with the United Auto Workers union, Hresko told the group that GM is on a path 'to grow our business in North America, not shrink as you've been reading in the newspapers.'
