Are you sure gas was 25 cents a gal? Unless it was a whole lot more when cars first became popular, you are wrong, my husband remembers it being 17 cents a gal in the late 40's or early 50's.

Point of clarifacation. In 1915, the price of gasoline did spike to 25 cents/gallon. However, the Nationwide average for the year 1915 was 8 cents/gallon. Nice story about Reynolds Buick. I've known several people that have bought cars there. I too purchased two GMC Safari cargo vans from them. I was treated with professional courtesy and enjoyed my buying experience at Reynolds Buick.
