Don't you think it's about time---after many decades of making foolish moves?
Furthermore, there's still a lot more baggage to deal with!
Let's hope it isn't too late!

The NHTSA ratio doesn't compare market share---one automaker's share against others.
That's a different comparison entirely.
NHTSA has disclosed "number of complaints per market share" for all the listed automakers.
In calculating the ratio, NHTSA has levelled the playing field comparatively--therefor the it's apples to apples, not apples to oranges.
It doen't matter to me how it's twisted with semantics, the comparison clearly shows some automakers have a higher (or lower) ratio of complaints than others, taking into consideration market share.
I’m afraid you don’t seem to grasp the situation at hand.

I'm afraid I do---perhaps more so than you're willing (or able) to admit.

Well, at least I made one factual statement you cannot deny.

That said---"moving forward" in today's abysmal US car market ain't gonna be easy, and your pet automaker still has its work cut out for it.

Lots of baggage there still.

We can surely expect GM to dump GMC in the near future, as it realizes that it only needs one label of trucks. It's bad enough that they clone everything as a Cadillac.
