I have a 335i, 2007. I have a low pitch, harmonic noise that's been diagnosed to (you guessed it), the fuel pump/fuel lines. When you're at an idle, radio off, it becomes the most prevelant noise in the car...Nice. BMW agrees there's a noise, but they're explanation is that it's normal. I'm taking them to task on the "normal" diagnosis. Anyone have the same issue.

I had the same problem with my window. I opend the trunk and closed it very slightly and then it was fine.

calm down wrote: People need to relax.. if the car is running at a steady 250-270 degrees it is not going to overheat and is not a problem.. When you see the car pushing towards 340 then you should look into it.. My 07 coupe is running great thus far and the car seems solid as a rock 250-270 degree C, or degree F??? Because on the speedometer, the oil part is until 170 degree C.

When it came back from the shop, I had a red engine light warning. Took it back in. They couldn't detect anything. A week later, yellow engine light is on. It's going back in tomorrow. Good luck.

When it overheats just keep driving but drive at a lower rpm so the wind can go in and cool it down. Thats what I did with mine today. These cars kick ass. I cant wait to put a visnu proceed in it!

Dinan wrote: Has anyone installed the Dinan package in there 335I yet? If so, what do you think? I installed the Stage 2 Performance Engine Software/Boost Upgrade and absolutely LOVE it. I have the 6 spd and you can tell a major difference in how the car performs. My friend drives an automatic 335i and has the same program installed and it performs great. I have had the program installed for about 4 months and would recommend it to anyone! Get an oil cooler though. Also, commenting on the fuel pump issues. I had my car for maybe 4 months and the fuel pump went out.. What a hassle! And now I have an annoying noise coming from under the hood and i have no idea what it is. It sounds like a continuous squeak and it is only at low speeds and stop around 20-30mph.. Anyone know what this could be?? The noise is located on the driver side, under the hood. HELP, its driving me nuts.

Dinan wrote: Has anyone installed the Dinan package in there 335I yet? If so, what do you think? YES. It is quite the "SPOOL" for a lack of a better word. Suggest you change the oil yourself to - AMSOIL Signature Series 0-30W and take away 24oz of coolant and add 24oz of REDLINE's Water Wetter. Change your OEM air filter to a K&N and you're set to run with DINAN Stage II just fine with your stock Inter & Oil Cooler....just don't track the darn thing and you're hardly running higher than 240 degrees.... She'll scoot on you, but will feel somewhat rubbery...but don't worry, if you have doubts about your speed set your NAV to any speed and see how long it takes to get you there, you won't be disappointed....

If you have been doing a lot of quick launching you couldn't have loosened up one of the bealt pullys? Perhaps the water cooler pully? Take the sucker in....

I recently (5/08) purchased a 2008 335i sedan with steptronic. Final assembly date is indicated as 01/2008 ... anyone know if BMW was shipping oil coolers in the 335i's at that point? Also, those that have installed Dinan upgrade - any 2008's yet? Apparently different software according to Dinan. Thanks.
