BMW E39 Dashboard Lights

I have a 325i-2003 the ABS light(a triangle with an exclmation mark inside it and it has a arrow going around the triangle towards the left) turned on and also the brake light is turns on in yellow. I had a diagnostic and I was told that nothing was wrong with the ABS system that was just the sensor that was not working properly. I need to deactivate those lights, does anyone know how???

I have a 328i and yesterday a warning light came on and Ý have no ýdea what ýt means -ýts a rectangle shape wýth a chýmney stýckýng out on the rýght hand top, the bottom part ýs fýlled ýn wýth a wavy top -ým sure that makes no sense at all but ýt would be great ýf someone can decýpher that!

I have a 1996 Bmw 316 Coupe (compact) and i have a similar problem to one person above - it is a cirlce in the middle with split brackets on the outside - i just wondered what it means - i had initially thought it was maybe a computer malfunction<< Thanks very much folks

How come it is exactly half way from where ever you are? SPOOKY
Try disconnecting your battery for 10 minutes this removes a lot of stored falts from the ECU (knock faults etc)

I have a 1999 BMW 528i and while driving the ASC, engine light and EMI light comes on. Turn the engine off for 5 min and the ASC and EMI light goes off but the engine light stays on until the engine is turn off for 2-4 hours.

i have a 1996 nreg 316i compact both my fuel gauge and temp gauge are going full empty and hot cold all the time not a clue i know theres fuel and the engine temp is fine but cant figure this out HELP!!

The light you described is for the Dynamic stability control and you should be able to remove it by pressing the dsc button for two or three seconds. The button is located next to ashtray.

i have the same problem with this asc light with the exclamation mark but mine starts flashing and cuts back on engine speed (wont go over 85mph) 323i 1997 when this happens and i have my foot flat to the floor if i press the asc button by gearstick the car goes back to normal but the light stays on and doesnt flash and starts roaring again. a friend has a snap on diagnostic tool and it says asc reset ecu which has been done as soon as you go out again the light starts flashing and the car slows down can anyone please help me

U need work on your brakes!

I have a 1999 323i and the engine light just came on. Does that mean the engine needs to be serviced?
