Can people, BMW only, please list an eail where you an be contaced for court? I would really like to follow up and mke sure BMW replaces or fixes my SUV. The only way o do so is to be prepared if need be to walk into court and show a good record that they were aware of this issue and others who have had the same issue.
My contactinformation is [email protected]
Can any one who has phots or is willing to write a letter, or appear over the phone, please write with contact email?
Just want my SUV fixed and insurance does not cover fire while parked.

Wondering if BMW has any known defects. Had my car parked(had not driven for a few days) and in the middle of night the care burst into flames and basically exploded. I am wondering if anyone has had the same experience and what recourse you had with BMW.
Thanks!

Did insurance cover your X5 fire? Have a similar problem I am dealing with now and insurance is refusing to pay

WOW! Never thought there were so many X5s on fire! I had a 4.4 i with all the bells and whistles for a year and a half. I pulled into the garage (inside a 170 unit condo building!), turned off the ignition, went inside, and within 15 minutes there are 8 fire trucks outside, and my X5 was engulfed in flames. My insurance company and some independent company took the car apart and concluded that the accessory fan overheated and caught fire.
I offered BMW my insurance check in exchange for a new X5. They had the audacity to say "not our fault" and offered me 2500$ towards the purchace of a new BMW. I thought they were kidding! And this is the "ultimate driving machine?" Please.

My 2004 BMW X5 burst into flames on Sunday 22nd September 2013 in the Lake District in the UK. We were stopped at lights, set off and noticed a burning smell, followed by black smoke coming out of the passenger air vents. Pulled over straight away, with more smoke coming out. Got wife, two small kids and two 4mth old puppies out of the car. Took out keys to switch off engine, but more and more smoke was filling the car. Opened the bonnet (hood) and saw no smoke at all...all was inside. Headlights came on, water squirted at high pressure from headlight and windscreen washers, wiper blades went at full speed and car alarm went off. Heard popping from inside the car - probably the airbags going off. Rang the Fire Brigade and, as luck would have it a police car saw the smoke and stopped. He immediately closed the road. I grabbed my wallet from the car having just got off the phone with the fire brigade - I couldn't see or breath in car due to the amount of black smoke. Saw flames from inside car and ran. Looked back to see the entire car engulfed in fire. It even exploded at one stage with sparks flying everywhere - likely the gear box going in the heat. Definitely electrical in origin. Just glad my wife, kids and dogs got out in time. I can't imagine how much damage it would have done to us or others if on the motorway (freeway).

Took loads of pics and video. Police were there even before the flames started so could see the state before and after. Also had other witnesses who stopped as the smoke was bad before the fire started.

Has anyone got anywhere with BMW? My car is with the insurance team of investigators but am covered for fire, although will likely only get a fraction of what I paid 5months ago.

Happy to be contacted at [email protected]

Interested at what recourse there is against BMW

My 2002 X5 was parked and locked out of side my apartment. Four hours later I heard popping outside my window, when I looked flames were billowing from my sunroof. By the time the fire dept came the vehicle was burned to the ground. Any suggestions on how to go at bmw for help?
