NOW I read Motor Trend and for them to come up with that decision was not in tne best intrest of A true Victory.Yes the Infintiti has more Muscle,But the BMW was still faster....That tells me if they had the same Hores power BMW would Blow Infiniti out of the water...Look BMW dose cost more But with the better Gas savings you will save on the cost of the car and more just with gas.It seems to me BMW always a step ahead..They just don't want to get in A hores power mode cause it dosen't make A better car.You just got pay for more hores power.Okay Now anwser me this when BMW1 comes out A cheaper BMW with all that BMW has to offer then what?????

Caddys are nice for old people,Ford ,GM and most of the Big MF...Are just thinking about selling cars for lowest cost. Now when the fans of these cars complan they think putting in a motor with lots of hores power takes care of that and thats there bigest down fall.Anyone Manufacture can put as much hores power as they desire but there is alot more to it and BMW has always been A step ahead of them allwhen comes to feeling the car you drive is part of the driver.

Of coarse you couldn't, it's not a crappy old folk Caddy! Why does a guy with a picture of a crappy GMC or Chevy truck (I can't tell, they all look the same)even posting on this thread. Go to some lame GM thread and post. By the way I actually own a BMW 3 series and it is by far one of the best sports sedans out there. Just so you don't get yourself all worked up I also own a Dodge Ram 1500 pick-up (a real truck) but I am not trying to compare Dodge products to BMW. This thread is about Infinity vs BMW.

My brother in-law is 6'5 and 300_ lbs, and he drives a '98 Firebird. Before that he had a Fiero. A friend of his is 6'9" and has a Nissan 240SX. What's your excuse? Better make it good.

I guarantee that the friend is not too comfortable in that car.

Few cars out there designed with the 6'9" driver in mind, might as well get something fun to drive.

1. the chevy shown in his picture beat the ram 1500 "real truck" as motortrends truck of the year.

2. dont bother yelling at me, I too have owned a bmw 3 series coupe, it was a great car.

3. "crappy old folk caddies" cost more, run longer, and have less repairs in the future...I do believe I can say this because I have owned both caddy and bmw.

4. If it wasnt for "lame gm" who knows what cars might look like today?

5. I own a chevy 1500 silverado and a 1500 suburban AFTER the bmw. they are both great cars, and no, my bmw didnt make them look bad.

6. go to your local gas station and pick up a copy of motortrend before making any more posts.

I'd rather go for the BMW. It is so obvious. Plus BMW has a larger market compared to that of Infiniti. It is a world renowned vehicle. Even the lights of the BMW is innovative. Those BMW headlights turns on and off automatically without the driver switching it. The car is ver smart and knows when it already time turn on the lights on or off. Plus its BMW headlight covers make the look like they have eye lids. Again, another innovative feature of BMW that the Infiniti doesn't have.

My 1998 Chevy S10 pickup has headlights that turn on/off automatically. It even shuts off power to the interior lights after 30 minutes if I accidentally leave them on.

G35/G37 might be more expensive to own over long run: G35 cost 14K to fix at 6MPH crash according to CNN, BMW was not even mentioned in expensive cars to fix at low speeds, hmm wonder what insurance differential on the two cars is--the true cost of a owning a G35 when you take into account a)insurance b) fuel economy c) depreciation might be higher than a 335i... the overheating/fuel pump problem is also being fixed. Obviously I am biased towards the 335I, but the cost savings may speak for themself--basically 7K G37 price advantage might be erased substantially when taking above factors into account. Real question is what do you enjoy driving more......

1. BMW is a smart car because of the auto on/off headlights. A 2005 Corolla has the same feature, not really cutting edge.

2. Insurance costs... A quota from USAA shows a G35 is 4% cheaper than a 335 for 12 months of insurance.

They obviously drug these poor BMW owners at the dealerships to beleive that BMWs are the best thing on earth ... I say it's in the coffee they drink while they continuously wait for their cars to be fixed ... I just spent 30minutes reading about the countless problems of the BRAND NEW 335i and my guts are still hurting from laughing so hard. I use to own a motorcycle and BMW owners seem to suffer the same problem as Harley owners ... I call it the supiriority complex. just cuz you paid more for something then the next guy it doesn'T make it better !!! it's almost a cult lol but hey ... if I got ripped off into paying 10 grand more for something that spends half it's parked time in the shop I'd probably be very pissy and diffensive too ahahahah
my fav BMW owner quote is " WHEN IT'S NOT BROKEN DOWN, My car runs great, I love my car "

I want the past 5 minutes of my life back. These posts consist of some of the most unintelligent phrases ever to come out of a trailer park--and there's a lot of competition there. Comparing Cadillacs to Bimmers? You must be joking. Apples to oranges, or, Old Milwaukee to grandaddy's moonshine, if you prefer.
I don't know where to start, but I'll pick the low-hanging fruit first--Kern, your comments make it pretty obvious you've probably never owned anything that isn't American-made (and possibly that you've never even been outside of the US), thus making anything you have to say on a BMW vs. Infiniti comparo a waste of internet real estate.
As for BMW quality, I can only speak to my own experiences. I've owned an '04 330Ci and currently drive both an '02 330i and an '02 R1100S boxer-engined motorcycle. I've owned American and Japanese bikes and autos. When BMW quality, service, or performance (in that order) falls short, trust that I will buy elsewhere & never go back.
Your '88 Chevy has auto-shut-off headlights? Fantastic. If that's what matters to you, I'm sure you & your POS will have a wonderful life together, until either the transmission goes south or you're arrested on Dateline NBC over a rather embarrassing internet conversation you had with what you thought was a 12-year-old girl. My Bimmer doesn't have auto-off headlights. I guess I'm more interested in superfluous qualities like handling. Silly me.

Why donít you move to Europe?
Oh yes, THAT'S the answer--I appreciate innovative automotive design and build quality, so I should probably excommunicate myself. I'm surprised you didn't make the short jump to calling me a neo-nazi. Don't get me wrong, there was a time that I was considering leaving; but here are a few possible reasons why I didn't, I'll let you choose your favorite:
1) People like you make it easier for people like me to make money here in the States.
2) Nowhere else on Earth offers such variety of people and personalities, all ripe for ridicule.
3) BMWs are cheaper here than anywhere else in the world ;)

Excuse me, I have owned a 2003 Honda Accord, and a 1988 Toyota Corolla. I always check out the jap dealerships so I am up to date on ALL makes. I have been outside the US many times, like I am at the moment. Cadillac quality is bouncing back and the young and the hip are already buying these cars. Take a look at the new CTS! www.cadillac.com

Not true, in Europe, European cars are much cheaper and more popular. New mercedes are used as taxis, and BMW and Mercedes are all available in base trims with cloth seats. Americans even go to Germany to buy Mercedes there because its cheaper.
